“I didn’t see anyone die. But Cloverstar was hanging by the edge of a cliff. None of us helped her.”

"That can't be true," Sunspot said. "I would never let a noble cat die without trying to help. And I'm sure you wouldn't either."

“I don’t know about that last part.” The she-cat said, drawing circled in the dirt with her fidgeting paws.

"I don't understand," Sunspot said, her tail swishing.

PineappleClaw kept silent, a wave of memories flooding over her, “I...”

Sunspot's eyes flickered with understanding. "So you trained there, did you?

“Yes.” PineappleClaw said, her voice squeaky and quiet. “I didn’t know... I thought I would become a better warrior.”

Sunspot sighed. "Alright. That's fine."
She curled up to sleep until Brackenspot woke up. -
PineappleClaw gaze one last look at the crystal before resting her tail over her muzzle and dozing off.

Sunspot dreamed fitfully. She was watching Brackenspot being taken down a quickly paced river. She jumped into the water, cutting through the water neatly. She seized his scruff but hit her head on a rock. They both went underwater.
She woke up, gasping for breath. -
PineappleClaw noticed Sunspot awaken, she was tense and PineappleClaw sensed it, “Are you alright?”

"I had another dream," Sunspot said. "I hope it isn't about the future."
