Erratum looked around at the darkness nervously as he walked with his friend through the tunnels, his ruined wing hanging limp behind him with some cloth tied around the splintered bone to keep it from leaving a blood trail. "How far out do you think we are?" He asked Armargosa, turning his head to look at the other monster as his tailfeathers twitched -
Armargosa clung to the wall like the spider he was and looked down the path they had traveled already. He thought of a moment, taking in how long they had traveled for. He came to the conclusion and said "I believe we are about 20 miles past the barrier. Or somewhere around that."

Rose was halfway up her mountain when she noticed a building, old and crumbling. "Cade!" she called to her friend. "Come look at this!" As she waited for them, she carefully climbed down the mountain and walked over to the ruin. "Looks old," she commented, already looking for a door.

"I'm coming!" Cade called out, pocketing a cool rock and jogging over to join their friend. "I really should've brought an inhaler!" They paused and took a deep breath. "Woah! What's this?"

Erratum shuddered, looking at the path behind them "that's pretty far" he said, idly running his claws through his feathers to calm himself when he heard very faint sounds, suddenly very aware of just how well sound traveled in the tunnels

Armargosa said "It sure is." He then thought and said "I hate to ask but, what exactly are we doing again?" As smart as Armargosa is, he was at times forgetful and confused. He more than likely already asked Erratum this question but needed to make sure of what they were doing. -

Cade watched as Rose searched for a door. "What do you think this place is?" They glanced around the exterior of the building. "Maybe an old radio tower or something? There could be some cool old stuff in there!" -
"looking for a way to the surface to get help" he said automatically in response, wincing when his broken wing brushed against a rock

Armargosa said "That's what I thought. And that means only one thing. Humans." Armargosa didn't really trust humans, like anyone else but humans irked him like nothing else. he heard humans do bad things to spiders.

"Yeah, probably," Rose said to her friend. "Or maybe.. it's something really cool. Like an old castle or something." She dragged her hand across the tower's side. Suddenly, there was a click, and a door opened, revealing a dark staircase.

"Holy crap!" Cade said, staring into the darkness. "What do you think's down there? Secret military base? A bomb shelter? This is so cool!"

Erratum ruffled his feathers and nodded, making a quiet rattling sound before nodding "yeah." He said softly before going quiet, seemingly lost in thought. "I wonder what the sky looks like"

Armargosa continued to crawl along the walls following Erratum. He could have sworn that he heard a rumbling, as though a door had opened at the end of the tunnel. But it was too faint to tell if it was that.
