Hailey sighed as she was summoned to the High Council. “What? What happened?” She asked, crossing her arms. “Your soul mate has finally arrived.” The Council told her in union. “Oh? Who’s-“ Hailey began, her eyes widening as Liam appeared in the room. She had married her soulmate, and to this she was overjoyed. To see him again though... After knowing he had moved on from her... it was too much. “Take him to your home, and show him how the afterlife works. You’ll finally be able to spend eternity with him.” The Council told her, speaking in union as always. They then waved their arms, returning the consciousness to his spirit. Hailey took a deep breath, preparing herself.
-
Liam looked around, confused. "Where am I?" He asked. He was afraid. He saw Hailey, and a smile spread across his face. "Hailey...I-" He was amazed to finally see her again. He wanted to tell her how much he missed her. He also wanted to explain himself. He only moved on because that's what he would've wanted her to do. "Where do I begin? There is so much I wanted to tell you."
-
Hailey felt tears come to her eyes before looking at the ground. “I know... I know everything... I watched you... You became and alcoholic, drinking life away, until eventually you got over me completely, and gave your love to that whore!” Hailey yelled, not caring about how accurately she was describing the new woman. “Well... This reunion isn’t what we’re used to, but it’s not uncommon either... We’ll let you return to your home now.” The Council spoke, and with a wave of their hand they were back in Hailey’s home. “The Council needs to grow a back bone.” Hailey sighed, putting a hand on her head as she studied him. “Well, I suppose we will both have to explain a lot, so let’s just get this over with...” She muttered, sitting down on the couch.

"If I died, do you think I would want you to live your life depressed and drowning in alcoholism? Of course not, I would want you to move on. I know you still would've loved me deep down. Just how I did. I never stopped loving you. If you think for a second I loved her more than you, then you are mistaken." He replied. "It saddens me that you don't feel the way I would've if it was me." He sighed, and sat down.
-
“Of course I wanted you to move on! I just... It hurt that’s all... Olivia (their daughter) went off to seek out her purpose in the after life, I had nothing better to do but watch your life and wait. I know you needed to move on but... It still hurt to see you with someone else.” She whispered, looking at the ground. “You could have... I don’t know... Made friends, focused on your career... Maybe I’m being petty, but dying seems to make things far more complicated than they should be.” Hailey sighed, her tension relaxing a bit.
-
"Its okay. I understand what you're saying. I respect how you feel. Where is Olivia now?" He asked. He looks around the house, in awe. He finds the house is absolutely gorgeous. He does not know what to say to Hailey now, and hopes she has another topic of conversation.

"Olivia has found her purpose as a Gaurdian. There are five different jobs in the after life. Gaurdians protect a certain person in the real world for their whole life, there aren't that many now a days because people stopped caring so it's really honourable that she got that job. There's also Reapers, they help lost souls find purpose in the after life... I've been giving the Reapers a hard time... Then there are Haunters, they punish those who do wrong in the real world, and then two lesser jobs like Callers and Assitants. Assitants are good for someone with a variety of skills and are good with people, they tend to the homes, help spirits adjust, help gaurdians cope when their client dies, and every now and then they grant a wish to a human. Callers are more freelance and while Assitants are better at working under contract and thinking inside the box, Callers are creative, out side the box wild cards. They inspire people and spirits, and help people find their passion. They often tend to cause a lot of trouble and usually are a result of spirits that didn't live a very fulfilling life. But Humans seem to like them, and they grant wishes more often than Assitants." Hailey explained, figuring she should explain more about the world.
-
"Did you find your purpose?" Liam asked curiously. "If so, which is it?" He was amazed that their was jobs, even in the afterlife. He hoped he would find his purpose too. He has no idea which category he would fit into. Liam knows he has never been able to identify himself properly.
