Our story starts in a large, countryside cottage, much like a foster home. Many rescued orphan children live there, and a dark secret follows each of them. Since the Holidays are coming up yet again, Cheryl is putting up Christmas Lights as well as inflatable decorations for every holiday around this time of year. She did a lot of research to make sure her decorations would include all who passed by. She smiled as she shoveled away light blankets of snow to make room for her decirations, looking forward to how the house would appear when she was done. From the hedges down the walk way, to the Apple trees in the back yard, to the large maple tree in the front yard that one could easily rest in, everything that the road could see would have Christmas lights. At least, everything posssible.

Jason was baking cookies for his siblings. He had decided to visit the house for a weekend, missing his parents, well his dad at least. It was weird, his parents had always seemed unreasonably cold towards each other. Jason chuckled gently, as he noticed a certain red head watching him intently.
Mia was cooking up dinner, which was a homemade Vietnamese pho. Her parents weren’t big on going out, and with so many kids, Mia understood exactly why. Mia has started to cook when she was around twelve, to help alleviate her parents stress.
JD was out in the garage working on their motorcycle, which Henry has agreed to help them with, on the condition that they wear a helmet, and don’t leave the city limits.
Little did their dad know was that they fully intended to do both. JD wiped some sweat off their brow. They always felt abnormally hot.
Now while those three were happily going about their door, Roman was sulking in their room. They were constantly arguing with their parents. They didn’t really have a good reason to be fair. They understood what they were doing was unfair to the two who had raised them, but they couldn’t care less. Something always felt off. Maybe it’s because Roman didn’t get a whole lot of attention, maybe they were just paranoid. -
Day to day*

Kurieita giggled happily as he played in the show piles Cheryl was making. Originally he was had come out here to help her, but he had kinda forgotten that a few minutes after helping her shovel the snow, so now he was just playing
Ganz was hiding in his room in a nest of blankets and books, quietly reading while trying to stay warm -
Aaron had invited his best friend Chris over to their house to hang out and play some video games. It should have been fun and relaxing on a cold winter's day but Ilsa decided she wanted to play as well and was now absolutely dominating both of them in Smash Bros. No matter the character or spirits Aaron or Chris had, Ilsa usually had something to counter and it was making Aaron progressively madder and madder.

Alva-Rose threw a pillow at the television set in the living room. "That's terrifying! Why do you like this stuff?" She said accusedly at Dallas. They were watching a scary movie, and Alva had hesitantly agreed, but only because she knew Dallas loved flicks of all kinds. "..The movie just started, and you just got jump scared by the main character's sibling coming from around the corner," Dallas said with a sigh. "A scary corner!" Alva said defensively, crossing her arms with a pout. Dallas laughed, got up to retrieve the pillow, then proceeded to throw it at her.

Cheryl chuckled as she watched Kurieita play in the snow. “Isn’t it beautiful this time of year? I mean, I know everyone will be miserable come January... but that’s all the more reason to enjoy this as much as possible!” Cheryl cheered.
Meanwhile Minerva was in her study, listening to the chatter that filled the house with a smile. She knew it was dangerous for her to actually care for these children. It was most likely those motherly instincts woman felt, a danger that was brought up when the breeding program was first suggested. However she decided to use this care to her advantage, at least for now. She was relieved that she was assigned a partner who was homosexual. This would mean that she wouldn’t have to worry about him developing feelings for her. Of course, it was one of the dangers people brought up when the breeding program was suggested. They would have to be careful of suspicion.
Minerva got up, deciding it was time she should be associating herself with her children. She walked around the house, chuckling at Alva and Dallas’s antics as she entered the kitchen. “It’s so nice of you to cook for the family dear.” She cheered to her eldest daughter. “You won’t have to worry about it during the holidays though, Jason and I like to cook together during that time. You can join us of course, but there’s no pressure.” She continued. -
Mia smiled softly. “ yeah, mother I know, I insist on helping out this year. Someone has to keep JD from ‘helping’.” She says with a fond roll of her eyes.
-
Jason laughs at that, “ do you remember the year they put marmite inside of the turkey.” He groans, just remembering it, no one was sure how they’d managed to get the marmite down, though Jason suspected it was his dad.

Speaking of JD, the red haired rebel had wandered in from the garage as they didn’t want to do anymore work until Henry got back.
“ speak of the devil and they will appear.” The orange eyed teen said with a pout as they reached for one of Jason’s cookies.
“ no! Not for you! Bad JD.” Jason scolds playfully

Henry is on his way home, but he’s stopped in the grocery store to pick the kids up some treats, he’d decided a while ago he’d be the fun dad. Knowing JD, Henry bought three packets of poprocks, soda that wasn’t allowed in the house anymore and a bottle of cayenne pepper.
For Mia he picked up a box of strawberry tarts, for Jason he got him some shortbread, and got a new box of tea for them both.
He sighed, thinking of what to get Roman. Roman has went from a responsible if not aloof kid to an angry and snarky teenager.
( can everyone tell me what treat Henry would get their character please?)
Henry snorted as his phone blew up as JD spammed memes on the family group chat.
-
Back at the house Roman threw open their door, before slamming it closed as they stormed into the living room, plucking the remote away from Alya-Rose and Dallas.
They looked to be in a way worse mood than normal.
They very quickly changed the channel to a Disney film they’d seen a thousand times before, as they basically screamed into a pillow.
( so Roman’s girlfriend cheated on them, so they’re in a foul mood.)
