Schools for hunters and huntresses ,a shining light in a bleak world over run by creatures of Grimm. Of all of the schools, none shine quite as bright as Beacon.
Beacon academy is rather hard to get into, and it puts teamwork over individual success, because really, in a world like this what else do we have?
Here at Beacon you will work together as four man teams, and make further relationships. Together you will shine brighter than those before you.
That is the premise on which this school was founded,
But what if something darker ran beneath?

Okay!
So let me start of by saying, this is RWBY inspired.
You do not need to have seen RWBY to understand it.
I’m considering keeping the canon teachers but other students in the series do not exist.
I will be making original villains, and discussing the plot along with Paige_, Hiccstrid ( when she returns) and Tibbles.
Now, teams are made up of four people, so it’s a good idea to join other players rather than making four ocs. It is allowed though.

Grimm:
They are described as "creatures of destruction" that lack a soul; hence, they are unable to use Aura. They are also drawn to feelings of negativity - such as envy, sadness, loneliness and hatred - often congregating towards the source of these emotions.
Grimm often take the form of animals but that is not always the case.
( I will be describing to you all types of Grimm as they come up.)

Aura:
Aura is the manifestation of one's soul in this universe , and can be used for a wide range of abilities. The specific abilities and their strengths differ from individual to individual and are dependent on a number of factors, such as experience, training, and innate skill.

Semblance :
Semblance are special abilities granted by the aura.
These typically can only be used while the aura is present.
Semblances are widely varied and a little hard to describe so I will instead link the wiki page.
As an example:
My pc Lillie is able to create creatures from her aura to assist her, while Paige_’s character Paige is able to change the temperature of water.

Weapons:
Now weapons in the rwby world are very interesting.
Most modern weapons have multiple different forms and can switch.
Most second forms are a gun.
My pc Lillie has a bow and arrow that turns into a gun.

Dust:
Dust is a source of energy in Remnant. The physical properties of Dust make it incredibly useful for a variety of purposes, particularly in the weapons of many characters in the series. It is known to make a distinctive "shimmering" sound passively and when in use.
The name "Dust" is implied to be a reference to the primordial state from which mankind was born. As a natural resource, it is sometimes poetically referred to as "Nature's Wrath",[1] or more prosaically as an energy propellant.[2]

Faunus:
Faunus are people that have animal traits,
Each Faunus has a single trait.
These can vary from allowing a Faunus to pass as a human or to out right marking them obviously.
If the animal is a little exotic please run it by me.

Now, upon forming your teams I will ask you guys if you’re interested in making a separate role play thread for your team.
I will be involved, and will assist you by playing your teams mentor.
Likely an oc hunter or a teacher.

Attending patch high school with Paige, the two never really talked until they both got accepted into beacon at which point they started to become friends.

Personality: Lillie is rather creative, but isn’t good with others because of her autism. She does try though. She has leadership qualities apparently.

Backstory: Child of two drug addicts, she was treated like a criminal because of her parents. Her parents lost custody of her, making her grandma her legal guardian. They moved away from that town, and she went to the same school as Lillie. They never really talked during then, but became close with Lillie when they were accepted into Beacon.

Personality: She has trouble trusting people, but once she does trust someone, she is very protective of them, and will do anything for them. She can be funny and loud.
Other: Her weapons name is Britney Spikes. But her friends can call her Britney b----. ;)

Backstory: She comes from a very rich family, yet she always felt...different. She feels that everyone should have had the privilege she got, and believes that she is a goddess who was put on this Earth to protect those with self confidence issues. She never cared about how much money she had, but cared more about her opportunities for greatness. She is obsessed with her goddess complex, and always feels she needs to know everything, and be the best at everything, to complete her godliness.

Personality: A girl who can be quiet, but sometimes funny, she believes she is a goddess, and will make sure you know. She does not like being talked down to. She is quite sheltered. She let Olivia stay with her family, because Olivia has no family. They are friends.

Looks: Rachel has short hair which is spiked in the back and longer bangs that go down past her chest, her eyes and hair are both blue. She’s pretty buff, tiger ears.
Personality: very humorous and boisterous, however she has her own insecurities that cause her to lash out at others,
Backstory ( optional) having grown up in a large family, with very successful siblings she was told she was never good enough by other relatives, and could feel her parents disappointment even if they never said or did anything to prove that they were disappointed. Unable to fix her home life she lashed out at people in her school she viewed as weak, including Olivia,
Fighting style: she is a brute strength fighters, preferring close combat to ranged, despite having her rifle. She relies on her semblance a lot.

Weapon: two gauntlets which have classmates on them, which can become gunlets.
Looks: peyton is pretty short, and slim. She’s very pale and has a lion tail. Her hair is long and in pigtails, she’s pretty cute.
Personality: Peyton is actually a bundle of insecurity despite how she outwardly portrays herself, however she believes people who try to raise others spirits are scum. She is very rude and immature. She is a bully, who puts down everyone she sees. However once she bonds with others she can be very sweet and loyal
Backstory ( optional) as a kid, she was bullied for being an. Faunus until she met this guy who was so nice to her, and made her believe in herself. However he was just stringing her a long. He led her to a place where she was going to be beat up and she discovered her semblances because of him. This has made her believe that she is a knight with the duty to strike down false gods, ( people who help others feel more confident,) as a way of protecting those people.
Fighting style: she’s a fast little thing. Likes to get up and personal.

Semblance: Maron is able to become stronger the more disorientated she becomes,
Weapon: a heart shaped dust gun, which can become a sword
Looks: Maron has a long tamarin tail, which she ties a white ribbon around. She has a scar near her eye from when she was attacked by one of lillie’s animals.
Her hair is fluffy and tied in two big bunches, her hair is ginger with streaks of colour. Her eyes are magenta.
Personality: Maron is incredibly childish, despite being very intelligent, she’s constantly on the move. She’s somewhat strategic...but typically charges into situations reoffending to figure it out as she goes on rather than a layout and adapt from their.
Maron doesn’t have a very good home life as she’s under constant pressure to help keep her family in their home, as well as the usual Faunus racism.
Backstory ( optional) Ahhh sorry guys but to reveal Maron’s past is to reveal Lillie’s which you’ll find out as we go on.

Personality: Tara is very mature, and considers herself regal and the like. However Tara is conceited and views anyone not as mature as her as a childish fool,
Backstory ( optional) with a last as mysterious as Lillie’s the only thing we know that Tara knew Paige before she moved to Patch with Lillie. Tara believes Paige is a criminal because of Paiges father. And a childish one too.

Personality: Ganz is very quiet, and a little skiddish towards strangers but is incredibly loyal to his companions, often going out of his way to help them

Fighting style: stealth attacks when possible in both forms, but in beast form will often switch to a full frontal assault if need be

I’ve never seen a body changing semblance, that’s so cool!
I think the only thing is I’m actually sure dust is dangerous to consume, but it might just apply to humans / Faunus.
I’m severely hoping I’m able to spell green in some way because I dont think G is in any other easily teamable colour.
I might add a random ass last name if I need to , in case he doesn’t end up being the leader. -

I would like to join even if I don't fully understand how the Semblance works. Just a few questions though.
1. Is it possible for my character's fauna be a grey jackal?
2. Before I go and make a fool of myself with the Semblance, I must ask. Has anyone in the RWBY universe used Aura in the way that maybe Lucario from Pokémon has used it as Semblance?
I only ask because I'm basing my character off Lucario. He's not gonna be Lucario exactly, it's just his design and powers will be based off him, personality won't. And before you ask, yes that is the reason I'm asking about the jackal fauna. -

Hmm, I’m not quite sure what you mean. Aura can be sued as a weapon by everyone, so long as they learn to use it, and it’s quite a natural thing.
I don’t want you to choose something that might end up putting you at a disadvantage.
If you mean like taking in damage and using to buff your attack, while it has been used twice I see no reason why you can’t have that, if that’s what you mean.
