“ W-Well.” Youta said trying to stop b,using so hard. “ the soup is always really good and I personally like having the carrot soup with a sweet chilli chicken panini but that’s just me.” He mumbles shyly,
“ the milkshakes and coffee here are really good, and the best mocktail is the serpents sunshine, which is strawberry, raspberry, mango, pomegranate and blackberry with lemonade.” He mumbles shyly. -
"I'll have that, then," Asher decides with a smile, noticing how much Youta was blushing. He hadn't really thought about what he was gonna eat, and besides, Asher loved trying new things. The mocktail he was especially curious about.
-
Youta nods shyly. “I-I’ll go get your drink.” He says as he gives the order to mason in the back. Firebrand seems amused that he’s waiting tables instead of sitting up in his office. Youta scowls at her.
Youta goes to the bar, still within Asher’s view. He began to mix up the cocktail with an experts hand. It had been Mackenzie who had come up with it, and Mackenzie who had taught him how to make it before she was forced to go on the run.
Youta sniffled a little, he missed Mackenzie. He hadn’t seen her in two years now.
The DG were claiming that the sheriff was a vicious monster who couldn’t control their powers and would need to be put down, but Youta knew otherwise. -
Asher checks both of his phones as he waits on his food. He had a stake out mission of some sort to do after dinner. Geez, the DG would barely let him rest. That was the price of being one of the top heroes, there was always things to do, people to save.
Asher went on his normal phone to check his social media, which had accumulated quite a few followers because of his professional looking photography skills. When he wasn't being a hero, he would work as a photographer for weddings and social events. He was also fairly good at makeup, he'd help plan things whenever people hired him.
Asher looked up at the cute waiter, who was mixing his drink at the bar. He then starts looking up pick up lines. -
Youta shyly brought over the drink. This was when Jordan decided to make themselves known.
“ hey , my brother here thinks you’re cute mind if he joins you?” Jordan asked on Youta’s behalf a hand on his shoulders.
Youta turned bright red and gave Jd a look. This was worse than the time that Damien has released a bunch of butterflies in the conservatory, -
Asher smiles at the newcomer. They didn't really look like brothers, but who was Asher to judge? Adoption, probably. "Thanks for the drink," Asher says as he takes the cup from the waiter.
"I don't mind if he joins, but I hope I won't get him in trouble if he's supposed to be working," Asher glances worriedly around, unaware that 'the waiter' was actually the owner. Asher had also lowkey gotten excited that the waiter apparently thought he was cute, but he was trying to play it cool. -
Jordan snickers. “ hardly, he’s the owner. Well have fun.” Jordan says as they shoot finger guns at an extremely flustered Youta sits down.
“ I apologise for them. They’re...they’re...” he trails off unable to think of any kind of descriptor that didn’t out Jordan as Jersey Devil. Youta was still flushing.
“...I hope I...I haven’t made his awkward.” He says not making eye contact. He was terrible at this. The guy probably wasn’t even gay! -
"Ah, it's fine," Asher says, smiling. "You're really the owner, huh? If you're not busy right now.. maybe we could chat?" He asked. He couldn't believe the words coming out of his own mouth, this wasn't like him at all. Asher was usually very aloof and oblivious to romance.
The waiter- hmm, well, Asher supposed that he shouldn't keep thinking of the dark haired beauty as a waiter. "And I'm Asher," Asher introduces himself. He takes a sip of the mocktail. -
“ ito Youta.” He introduces flustered, “ it’s n-nice to meet you.” Youta says smiling lightly. “ I would...I would enjoy chatting.” He confirms as a familiar waiter puts a coffee down in front of him.
Lisa ( the name for macks girlfriend wolfsbane.) smirked at youta , before going to the rest of her tables, having already added Youta’s usual to the order.
“ ...so Asher, what brings you here?”youta asks carefully.
( heyyy I had an idea to explain why they feel so safe around each other,) -
(What's the idea broseph?)
Asher shrugs. "I was watching the news, got upset, needed to blow off steam, yknow?" Asher says. He then grins. "This place is awesome, by the way. How'd you think of it? It's like a library, but also a restaurant," Asher says appraisingly.
"Not to mention, the service is impeccable. Five stars from me," Asher winks. -
( soulmates being a thing. Like you’re unable to see one specific colour, and hen you look at your soulmate and boom, you can see it now.
But they’d be complete idiots who are unable to figure it out, because the fight with grotto was so hectic?
Because they didn’t meet their soulmate while their identity was clear it would be like this.
Youta’s symbol is a serpent devouring a sun, and underneath that in normal circumstances would be his name in His handwriting? This mark would be grey until Asher saw his eyes, he saw him as apophis however so in order to protect his indentity the name is in runic.
Youta would have Asher’s. ark somewhere on his Boyd with he tunes as well. They likely notice at some point during their relationship or something and just get really really confused like....” wait s--- I can see purple now! What?!” )
Youta turns red at the wink. He smiles gently as he begins to explain his passion project,
“ well when I was younger I often found myself desiring an escape. There wasn’t anyway to run to, since the library would close, and even if it was open I couldn’t get food or drink there.” He says quietly, gazing at the lamp.
“ I knew people needed a safe place to hang out, and just exist...and read in peace. So we operate as a cafe in the day time, and a restaurant / nightclub at night, but still provide a safe place to younger people.
The bar is fully stocked, but I don’t drink alcohol so I can’t fully recommend it in good conscious,” -
(Okay so like, everyone's born without being able to see one color. Whenever they see the mark on their soulmate's body, they can see that color now? Does it matter where the mark is? Is it like a birthmark?)
"I gotta admit, this is much better than going to a library and having a 50/50 chance of finding a vending machine," Asher says. "I mean seriously, the only libraries that had vending machines were the huge fancy ones, and they usually were overcrowded and a little too loud, y'know?" Asher says before he takes another sip of the mocktail.
"I don't drink alcohol much, but I do drink it," Asher says. He loved the way Youta talked, even just sitting there Asher could tell he was falling deeper and deeper in love. "To be honest with you, I probably would've ordered an alcoholic drink, but I wanted to impress you since you recommended the mocktail," Asher admits. -
Yeah.)
I’ll respond later.) -
“ yes...and also very few of them were an open and friendly environment for younger readers. Many of them would be followed around the library and kicked out for reaching for the more advanced books, not to mention recently any material on villains has been getting recalled by the DG.” He said.
It was true, newspapers and autobiographies were being recalled because of how fraudulent the DG claimed they were. Of course, the newspaper article about what happened to Vampyr never saw the light of day in the first place.
Youta swallows a little too loudly. He’s red again. “ y you don’t need to worry about impressing me...I’d just be impressed by you naturally.” He says flushing darkly. -
Woah! This was news to Asher. Since when did the DG have the authority to- ah, well, the DG actually had plenty of authority. They had connections to small businesses, law enforcement, government, etc. Still, no way was that a good thing to do.
"I've never had a problem with the kicking out thing, I've always been tall for my age," he says, but his mind was somewhere else entirely. How long had this been going on? Wouldn't it be better to let villains share their story? He'd have to ask about this at the next meeting.
Back to the subject at hand, Asher focuses back on the conversation. "Well, since you're so impressed, it'd be only natural for me to give you my number," He says with a mischievous grin. Asher swipes out a pen from his pocket and writes out his phone number on a napkin.
