Aspen sat in his car, he was parked on the side of the road in front of the house, he groaned and quietly hit his hands against the wheel in quiet frustration. He had grown up a lot within the last few years but not enough to know how to look after a kid especially when he just shows up with a note and some other important things. He looked up at the house and decided to finally toss the remainder of his pride away. He got out and closed the door, he started walking up the law, "f---." He mumbled and turned around and walked back to the car, he carefully undid the seatbelt and slowly pulled Neve out of the car seat and adjusted him so he was easy to hold but nicely laying on his shoulder. He slammed the door a little harsher than he'd meant to, Neve stirred slightly but the biggest action was him burying his head in Aspen's neck and wrapping his tiny arms around his neck. He walked up to the house quickly and rung the doorbell. -
Skylar jerked awake at hearing the doorbell as she groaned in annoyance,soon slowly sitting up on her bed as she rubbed furiously at her eyes and face before standing up. She soon had walked out of her room and stormed down the stairs,grabbing a wooden bat from the storage closet on the way,grumbling profanities under her breath as she soon stood in front of the door,soon unlocking it and flinging it open,having the bat in a preparation to swing it at whoever had woken her up. Skylar soon saw the all to familiar male,Who had got caught cheating on her as she glared up at him,being at least tall enough to be at his chest."Oh,Its you. Well goodbye then." She said blankly as she went to slam the door in his face.

The sound of moving around came from the house and Aspen quickly grew very, very nervous. He could still remember the moment that she caught him cheating it was a hear shattering look he'd gotten and at the moment it had been somewhat upsetting for him but now looking back on it it makes him feel disgusting. He jumped slightly when she answered the door and took her in for a small moment, "No, Skyler," He started and stopped her from closing the door, "f--- you're going to wake him up," He whispered and covered for his sudden movements so he didn't drop his son. "I don't know what to do I need your help, please, you're the only chance I've got."

Skylar just glared at him,soon shifting her gaze to the young boy,The sight only boosting her anger."You want me to help you? After what you've done,and you expect me to help you? I don't think I should." She said bitterly as she returned her glare to him,the bat now resting onto her shoulder,glancing towards the child once more. Skylar soon lets out a sigh and pinched the bridge of her nose"I'm gonna regret saying this but come in." She grumbled out as she opened up the door and stepping to the side to let him in.

As soon as she moved aside Aspen walking into the house before she changed her mind. He walked over to her couch, leaned over it and gently pried himself away from his son's death grip on him. Once he succeeded he stood back up slowly, "Look, Sky I'm so sorry." He said quietly, "I know that I shouldn't spring this on you or even be here but I need your help." He continued, "He was just dropped off today and I don't know what to do. The males in my family have a bad track record of really messing up children. What do I do?" He asked, "Sky, I need help." He almost crying, he was completely horrified and scared.

Skylar gritted her teeth as she refrained herself from slamming the door closed as she slowly closed it,soon locking it before turning to face him,her expression blank."You will not use my nickname until you've earned my trust and respect,and if you want that,you'll have to work for it. I shall help you with the child,but only because I like children." She spoke in a firm tone as she shifted her gaze towards the young boy's sleeping form for a moment before looking back towards him."What's his name?" Skylar questioned as she folded her arms across her chest.

Aspen flinched slightly and nodded, "Yeah, sorry." He whispered quietly and slowly sunk down to the floor beside the couch, he watched him carefully for a few moments before looking over at Skyler, "Neve." he said, "He's so adorable, tiny and innocent," He said with a small chuckle, "He's really clingy though, I have barely been able to get him off me a-and he's kinda quiet. Is that weird?" He asked softly.

"Not really to me,I just think that he's more of a silent type kid,Who just doesn't want to talk much. But what is weird is how and why this kid was delivered at your doorstep.." Skylar mumbled as she walked over and sat down in a chair.

Aspen looked over her, "Ya I thought it was odd... When I first brought him in he was really cold too, he must have been outside for a bit. He had a note pinned to his shirt and other than that everything else was in his bag." He mumbled, "He's so tiny." He said with a small smile and brushed his hair out of his eyes and then turned around and sat with his back against the couch,

Skylar nodded her head as she looked over towards the child as she frowned."Tell you what..You and him can stay here for the night,I have guest room that is right across from mine,so If you need help with anything,Just knock on my door. I'll get spare blankets and pillows from the closet." She suggested as a ghost of a smile appeared on her lips.

Aspen smiled, "Thanks!" He got up slowly and picked up Neve and held him close to his body, "Skyler, I am really sorry about just showing up." He said again, "But you won't regret this."

"I better not,Now go into the guest room,Just walk upstairs and keep going straight and the guest room should be to your right. It's already clean and their a tv in there,as well as a bathroom." Skylar said as she soon walked into the kitchen"Would you like anything to eat?" She asked as she opened up the fridge.
