Lucas gave a nod at Mae, already recognizing who it was now and also knowing about how Lillian would dissociate into her a new personality. "What animal are you referring to?" Lucas asked James.

"Oh...is he called the animal cuz he's scary? I have a few scary personalities, I won't judge! We are at a mental hospital after all, and I could use a few new friends." Mae smiled at both Lucas and James.

Lucas smiled back at her, though it wasn't necessarily real. Feeling emotion was next to inpossible for him.

"That's okay. Hey, Lucas, are you still working on the plan?" Mae said, emphasizing the word plan. She gave him a wink and a slight, whispery giggle.

Lucas regarded James with interest, but decided to answer Mae's question. "Yes. I've thought of every way possible in which we could escape. No need to simply say plan, it's no secret.. Others can join in at any time," Lucas side glanced at James.

"I agree. The others agree, too." Mae said, referring to the multiple personalities. "Hey, when should we go through with it? We're having testing soon - I don't wanna be here for that."

Sorry this post is so long it turned out longer than expected)
"I was thinking tonight, since tomorrow is testing. I'll do something really violent so they place me in solitary confinement, where that one guard I befriended will let me actually use the bathroom, I'll snatch some keys, come get you to guys.." the plan was a little complicated, but not likely to fail. Lucas would be doing most of the work, he only trusted himself with this responsibility. The one guard he "befriended" was one who kind of felt bad for him, Lucas had been feeding her lies about how he was not truly insane and how there has been a mistake. Even though in solitary confinement you were not allowed to use the bathroom, this guard would let him. Lucas had studied all the guards' schedules by memory, so he knew that she would happen to be guarding that cell tonight. Lillian and James would have to make plenty of noise in their rooms in order to distract the guards' and allow Lucas to steal quite a few keys. -

“I’ll put Lillian on the job if I can. She’s good with stuff like being… well, crazy.” Mae said, shoving a mouthful of gruel into her mouth.

"Ah, yes," Lucas said, "No offense, Mae, but Lillian had always kind of been my favorite." Lucas chuckled a bit. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go beat the crap out of that guard over there so I'll be transported to solitary confinement. Stick to the plan, guys," Lucas said, standing up.
