Just so I don’t confuse myself I’ll be referring to Rhea with male pronouns untilt he reveal.)
Ry looked up, he had his laptop on. He sighed and grabbed Jules by the hand pulling him down a hallway with defunct cameras and up onto the roof, where he hacked into the security feed. His eyes widened. “ Isn’t that-“ he started as he looked at the feed. If Eraphim was here On earth , then maybe , maybe his family would be with them.
-
Alex didn’t know exactly why he had felt like sneaking into the garrison again, he didn’t have any reason to, but when he saw Eraphim, he was thankful he did listened to that voice in his head. He stayed hidden, waiting to get a clear chance to free the older Male.
-
Aranna was f---ing unconscious in a cryo freeze chamber. -
(I forgot about that part of the plot! I will also use male pronouns since Jules doesn't know Rhea's true gender either.)
Jules allowed himself to be pulled away. He occasionally glanced behind himself, making sure that no one was watching them sneak away. When they made it onto the roof, he pulled his hand away, staring into the camera feed. Ephraim was being held at gunpoint and was being led into what appeared to be a quarantine tent. He frowned, finishing Rhea's sentence for him. "Ephraim King," he said, his eyes widening. "He went on the Kerberos mission, didn't he? What are they doing to him?"
--
Ephraim was grabbed on either arm and was hoisted out of the pod. He immediately began to launch into a flurry of words, looking back and forth at the men that were carrying him.
"They're coming," he said, repeating it over and over to emphasize what he wanted to say. "There's a hoard of aliens. They're evil- strong- and they're coming. We need to prepare. We need to warn everyone!"
"King," the Captain said, "calm down. You've been lost in space for a while now. You must be delusional from the lack of food and water. We're going to bring you in for tests, make sure that you're okay--"
"Listen to me!" Ephraim cried out, his eyes wild. "They are coming to eradicate the human race! They're coming for Voltron!" -
I apologise in advance if Alex seems like a Mary Sue here, I’m just not sure how Keith actually managed to get to shirt in the first place ( he probably said something and I forgot whoops.))
Ry’s eyes hardened. “ we’re getting him out, then he can answer questions.” He said his voice steady despite the anxiety he was filled with. If he was caught...they’d know...he’d loose his chance....unless this was it,
Ry felt a sense of dread fill him. He hated decisions. Decisions like these anyway. “ If he’s here then it proves what happened on Kerberos wasn’t a pilot error!”
Before he could choose to go he noticed something
“ who the hell is that?” He asked mostly to himself as a covered indignant made their way through to the tent.
-
Alex had his face obscured, in an attempt to hide from the security cameras. He had to get Ephraim out of here. He had to be cautious and slow, but he couldn’t let them sedate the man, otherwise he’d just become dead weight. -
I just realised that shiro (or shirk according to autocorrect ‘
) knew Keith before voltron, are we doing the same thing here?) -
(It's no problem, I rewatched the original episode so I could remember what the hell happened LOL
Yes, he knows him; I figured that would make it easier on us.)
Jules glared at the figure that was nearing the tent. Although the boy's face was covered, Jules recognized that outfit. It was his rival. Alex Schneider. Jules angrily pushed himself up onto his feet and extended a hand to his teammate. "We need to get there and rescue Ephraim before that person does. We need answers, and we won't get them standing up here."
--
The Captain ignored Ephraim's cries. He nodded to the men, pointing to a table that was placed in the middle of the quarantine tent. As the men strapped him down, he let out a pitiful wail, tears starting to brim in his eyes.
"We're all in danger," he persisted, struggling against the straps. "You don't need to do this. I'm fine!"
"Ephraim, you are spouting nonsense," the Captain said, shaking his head. "Sedate him. I need to return to the Garrison and make sure our students are okay." He exited the tent, not spotting Alex. -
Ry blinked “ who is that!?” He asked with a hiss as he pulled himself up with the help. Before running down the hill towards the tent. He needed to get to king. Before they sedated him or didn’t anything to his memory!
-
Alex slipped into the tent, and knocked out the nearest guards. He was fuelled by his desire to save the man. He wouldn’t let anything stop him. -
Jules wondered if he should tell Rhea who the masked figure was. As they slid down the hill, he decided that it would be best to keep it to himself. When they arrived at the foot, he pulled Rhea behind a rock, looking over it at the guards. "I don't know, but--" He shut his mouth as the masked figure slipped into the tent. Angrily, he said, "f--- it, let's get in there!" Grabbing Rhea's hand, he dragged the other boy through the tent, ignoring the shouts of the angry guards.
Ephraim looked up in panic as he saw someone slip into the tent. The person quickly knocked out the men that were about to sedate him. After the figure got closer, he realized that it was Alex Schneider.
"Alex--" Ephraim started, but got cut off as Jules and Rhea stormed into the tent. He cut himself off, staring at the newcomers.
"Alex Schneider," Jules said angrily. "We're here to save the legendary pilot. Move out of the way so we can do our job." -
Ry actually covered his ears when he heard the f- word but quickly pretended not to have done that. Then when he heard Alex’s name his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
“ Jules, he was a dropout from the garrison. Why are you so angry- wait never mind that we need to get Ephraim out of here” he hissed quietly.
-
Alex raised an eyebrow as he cut Ephraim free with his knife before stashing it away again. “ who are you again?” He said to Jules. “ wait, you’re a cargo pilot right?” He said ,he could kind of remember him, but not that oddly feminine looking boy behind him.
“ your friends right, we don’t have time for this, Ephraim do you need help walking?” He asked concerned, -
Jules slammed his finger into his own chest, raising his voice angrily. "I am the best cargo pilot in the Garrison. No, scratch that. The best pilot. Don't you dare forget it."
Ephraim attempted to push himself up, but as he tried to stand, his legs buckled beneath himself. He grabbed onto the table, clinging desperately to the cool metal. "I think I need help," he admitted reluctantly."
Jules shoved his way past Alex and Rhea, attempting to help Ephraim stand. He struggled beneath the older man's weight, grunting and puffing. "Let's get out of here!" Jules hissed. -
Ry rolled his eyes. “ boys.” He muttered under his breath. Alex looked at him strangely, before he went to Ephraim’s other side to support him equally. “ I know a place we can hide but it’s a long walk.”
Ry looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
“ have you never hotwired a car before?” He asked.
( I DID NOT PLAN FOR HER TO BE A CROOK OMG WHAT -
Jules pursed his lips, looking away from Alex and Rhea. "A car won't be fast enough. We need a hover board. God, we should have taken one down here.."
Ephraim squinted, looking outside of the tent. Several guards were regrouping. "We don't have time for this, cadets," he muttered, just loud enough for them to hear. "They're about to charge in here, and it would mean big trouble for all of us." -
Alex snorted “ how do you think I got here,” He said. “ the issue is getting out of here, they’re surrounding us.” He said worried about that exact thing.
Rhea coughed, “ we go that way.” He said checking the security feed.
Alex shrugged and started moving.
He didn’t want to trust these two idiots, but he had to ensure Ephraim got out of here safely. -
Jules struggled to keep up with Alex's pace; the other boy was slightly taller than he was, and he had a brisk pace. When they made it out of the tent, he saw that there were no guards in sight. "Alright, drop out, where's your hoverboard?"
Ephraim suddenly felt the exhaustion of his journey come crashing down onto him. His eyelids began to flutter, and as desperately as he tried, he ended up passing out. His body gained extra pressure as his head fell forward and he lost consciousness. Jules yelped, struggling to keep his knees from buckling. "What the-- Ephraim! s---!" -
( I’m just going to take that opportunity to Timeskip, if thatsok with you? I’ll write two responses.)
If it’s ok.)
Alex glared at Jules. “ I can handle it from here, you and that weird guy can leave now.”
Ry looked angry, “ I’m not leaving until I get answers!” The small boy.
Alex turned to look back. “ what happened on the Kerberos mission is none of your business, he doesn’t have to answer your questions, it doesn’t involve you.” He hissed.
“ There were two crew members, who still happen to be unaccounted for you- you - you useless paperclip.”
This cooled Alex right down as he poured tea, reluctantly for everyone as he wait from Ephraim to wake up.
“ fine. It’s up to him, if he says no then you leave and don’t tell the garrison where we are.”
He then noticed Ry was looking at his pin board.
-
If not )
Alex cursed loudly as he did his best to adjust to the added wait, while they were doing that, Ry had apparently found and somehow activated the hover board.
“ d-did you just himack my-“
“ yeah yeah, I’m sure it’s actually yours in the first place.” Ry muttered. “ let’s just get King out of here. Then he can tell us what happened to The other crew memebers,” -
(Timeskip is fine!)
Jules glared back at Alex. He dug his fingers into his jacket, turning his attention to Ephraim. "Don't you think it's a little weird that they were willing to sedate him and ignore him like that? I mean, he's a legend. He's the best--" Jules coughed. "--The best older pilot. They didn't even stop to listen to him about.. What did he say? Voltron?" Jules frowned. "What do you think that means?"
Ephraim slowly began to wake up, his hand flying to his head as he groaned in pain. He hadn't eaten in days, and he felt like absolute s---. When he opened his eyes, he saw all three of the younger cadets looking at him. He slowly pushed himself up, staring at Alex.
"What you did," he scolded, "was dangerous. And that goes for all of you. However... I'm grateful."
