“Any chance you can talk to cheerleaders without barfing or offending them?” Alisha asked.

Daniel said “I think so. The cheerleaders are more or less indifferent to me. They just see me as the mascot. They’re probably practicing right now.”

“Great. Do you know how to question a murder suspect?” She asked.

Daniel said “Yeah but who was murdered? Shouldn’t that be a thing for police?”

“Well, this is more of an attempted murder. The Principal wanted me on the case.” Alisha explained.

Daniel said “Okay then. So why do you need my help?”

“Cause I cannot talk to a cheerleader that could be a murderer without bursting into laughter.” Alisha told him as if it was the most obvious thing ever.

Daniel put down the ice pack he had and said “Alright, I’ll help you out.”

“Thanks. You talk to Captain what’s-her-Name, and I’ll talk to the second place Quarterback.” She cheered, happy to get past talking to cheerleaders.

Daniel just blinked and asked “What just happened?” Rip said “You’re on the case now dude.” Daniel sighed and walked out to find Caroline.

Alisha headed to Baxter’s locker and waited there. She wondered how this would go. She honestly had no idea what other people thought of her, so if this guy hated her, had a crush on her, thought she was a joke, or anything like that she’d have no idea.

Baxter walked to his locker, not really paying attention to Alisha in front of his locker. He stopped to look at his family's crest. He said to himself "The school wouldn't even have a gym without my family and yet every time I see that pretentious crest, I don't feel pride. I feel like a gloater."
Daniel walked to the football field to find and talk to the cheerleaders. Caroline was just talking to her friends. -
“Hey Baxter, I was wondering if I could ask you some questions.” Alisha began, relieved he barely noticed her presence.

Baxter sighed and asked "What do you want? Do you want me to open someone's locker so you can plant an explosive?"
Daniel talked to Caroline, but she was of no help. All she said was she was on and off with Rip and that there was no way anyone wouldn't notice her if she snuck into the men's locker room.
