Arden was out collecting potion ingredients that she had run out of. She was deep in the forest, far away from any civilization. That was the way she liked, and also there were no trolls around to stop her from doing magic. The trolls' take over hadn't affected her too much, though it seemed that more people were actively seeking her out for healing or potions, but mostly healing. Most people couldn't find her, but she did find people wandering in the woods looking for her often enough.
Tekeshi sheathed his sword and held out his hand to help the kid up. This kid had begged him to train him about a month ago, and Tekeshi had agreed. "You did better." he said before walking back to his house. The kid followed him, after training they usually had tea. When they got inside he went over to make tea and the kid sat at the table. While he made the tea the kid began to talk, "So-" Tekeshi cut him off, "No."
"You don't even know what I was going to say!"
"Yes I do, you ask every day, and the answer is still no."
"But why?"
He sighed, the kid wanted to learn magic, but he always refused to teach him, "I'v already told you, I don't want you to get yourself killed." he said as he set the teacups on the table and then poured the tea.
