"You do? Would you mind showing me?" I asked, grabbing my papers and quill to map the city with. I smiled as I studied the beautiful feather my father gave me, wondering if the feather had given me great luck.
-
"Where did you get that feather?" I a died my voice cold. I knew my feather when I saw them. That was mine. And he somehow had it.
-
"My father gave it to me as a child. He found it on his journey here." I replied. "I seek to bring its owner back to Umbra as proof that the legend is true." I added. "Do you know of it?" I asked after noticing her shock.
-
"Are you planning on-murdering the poor creature?!?" I asked with clenched fists. That poor creature was gonna be me!!!
-
"I would have to decide once I find it. If the bird looks more like a common bird than one of legend, I would have to bring it back alive or it wouldn't be real proof. If it's more valuable to my kingdom alive, having any powers that would be of use, then I would have to bring it back alive as well. Or if it's safer for the creature, island, and Umbra to leave it here, then I would just have to hope my sketches are proof enough. There are many more variables as well, so it depends." I explained. "I'm sorry that my career brings you discomfort... Unfortunately a hunter isn't many people's favorite person." I added.
-
I took a breath to calm down "I know where both things you are looking for are. The feature is very much like a phoenix in look and power. Unless you kill it. Bringing it to your home would be nothing but destruction and death. " I said before pulling one of my own feathers out of my cloak and dropping it on instinct.
-
"Well perhaps if I find that to be true, could I perhaps bring you to Umbra instead? Surely you'd be proof that the city exist if I find the bird to not be an option." I replied.
-
I frowned " This island is my home. I will not leave it just to prove we city existed over a centuries ago", I said firmly
-
"A shame. We'll, I suppose first we'll find it, and I'll cross the bridge of proof when I come to it." I decided.
-
"Yeah.." I mumbled then said "when would to like to start?"
-
-
"Well, whatever time works for you I suppose." I replied with a smile, relieved that this journey was off to an easy start.
-
"I suggest you to explore on hour own . In the morning would be best for me to guide you. " I said quietly. I couldn't start now. It'd be night before we would get there and I was not aware of how to sleep as a human.
-
"Alright, I shall see you after dawn then." I replied with a charming smile as I gently brought her hand to my lips and kissed her fingers.
-
I gasped my face turning as red as my own feathers would be. "I shall see you after dawn Arthur" I agreed before dissapearing into the woods and jungle
