Kouri nodded, bowed, and left the throne room, trying to keep herself from throwing something. This day was supposed to be nice and peaceful, but that was going down the drain.

Antauri walked outside with his new partner and said "Okay, first thing to be done is find out where this amulet is in the first place"

Kouri glanced over at the fire knight as he spoke. "Antauri, was it? Yes that sounds like a good idea." she said coldly.

Antauri said "This is my name, correct. The best fire knight in the kingdom."

"...Right. You said that already." Kouri took long strides towards the castle gates, hoping more than anything that this journey would be a short one. Usually she would be more excited to help the fate of the world, but usually she would be alone.

Antauri could tell working with her wouldn't be easy. But he said "Where do you suppose we should start looking?"

"There are a few legends and rumors I've read of. We should go to the main library." Kouri said, glancing at him. And then she added quietly, as an afterthought, "If you even can read."

Antauri said "Are you implying I am illiterate? I can read excellently, I'll have you know."

"Right. Of course." Kouri said, cursing at herself mentally. 'If you're going to work with him anyway there's no reason to be an a*s'

Antauri said "Then come, my friend. No time to delay." and started off to find the library.
