(Well, when we get to the Kanto region, Professor Oak will let us choose a Kanto starter or Pikachu as a gift. So we'll all have three Pokemon when we get into a battle. But yeah, Lake can enter a battle and be considered knocked out because of Cosmog. As for evolving, you can do it whenever it's convenient. And I don't mind Tepig, but Oshawatt Unova Starter.)

Drake was, a tiny bit bitter, to say the very least. He was right next to Kanto, and he could already get a head start, but nope. They just had to put him on a plane all over the world. He has decided, on this who knows how long flight, that he simply isn't a fan of flying anymore. He'd honestly rather walk 500 miles than fly at this point. The plane's been stopped for a bit, waiting for the new passenger. In all honesty, Drake wasn't too privy on meeting the new person, or any of the rest of the people on this flight. Instead, he's just tossing a pokeball in the air, looking out the dirty plane window. -
Cosmog floated around the cabin finding the box left by the humans for lake. He communicated this to lake. “ in here?”lake then opened the strange blue thing the prof....the prof....Kuku had given them Inside was food. Lake happily ripped open the bag with their teeth, feeding part so of the first bags contents to their pokemon . Popplio jumped for joy clapping his flippers as it chewed up the food.
Cosmog made little happy noises as it ate.
Lake was making a low rumbling noise. The filling was very fresh. They wondered if green haired girl had made it for them!
“ Is good?” They asked their pokemon.
They both agreed to what they hadsaid vocally,
“ that’s good! No more groundwhich.” Lake said to their pokemon Mal.....a....sada.” They sounded out as they opened the paper bags clumsily with their hands. Ripping the baked good into pieces they continued feeding themselves and the Pokemon. -
(You could pick Bulbasaur instead, or Pikachu)
Brad came closer to the person who was talking funny and said "Hello, my name is Brad." His Oshawott came close to Popplio, almost inspecting the Pokémon. -
( I could, but I think if I, able to I’ll just grin and bear it and choose charmander, laughingly enough my favourite Kanto starter is actually squirtle. Ehh I’ll need to get myself a ground type though to counter my weakness to electric, though If I’m correct water does normal damage to electric? Rather than half-ed damage.)
Lake seemed to ignore Brad and instead looked at Oshawott. “ hello. This is popplio.” The popplio then barked happily, she was a lot more sociable than her trainer was with their own kind.
Cosmog moved to hide behind lake, -
Brad saw the weird smoke cloud and wondered what it was. Out of his backpack came his Sandile. He liked to escape his Pokeball from time to time. He said "Sandile."

“ oh...nice to meet Sandile.” Lake said. “ have you been in weird ball long?” Lake asked. It was now obvious that Lake had actually seriously been talking to pokemon this entire time. And not in the usual trainer way,

Eva arrives late and yells "im sorry im sorry im sorry did ya all wait for me appoligies!!! Im always late"

( Kat wouldn’t she already be on the plane? Since Alola was the last region, unless she was vacationing in Alola. )
Lake froze at the yelling and started scrambling to get further away from the humans, backing up against the wall of the plane.
‘ La-ke? La-ke come back, I want Mal-as-da’ popplio said
“ m-Mal-as-a-da p-popplio?” Lake asked their pokemon who barked a yes. Lake then began to feed popplio.
She barked for joy.
“ Cosmog come back.” Lake said as Cosmog floated over Eva.
‘ human? Who is loud human?’
“ I don’t know who loud hu-man is. Come back cosmog” -
Drake glances at the others and can't help but glare- why were they all so loud? If he's being honest, he can't really process what everyone's saying. He's a quiet child, and a criminally asocial one at that. The pokeball that he was tossing lights up mid-toss, and Drake finds Delta, his totodile, in his lap, and Delta finds a way to get her snout under his hand. She wants pets? Drake is gonna give her pets, and drown out the noise. Though if someone sits next too him, he'll be forced to talk.

Cosmos curiously floated over to the angry human. It made a happy sound as it flew around Drakes head. “ Cos-mog come to lake.” They said as they fed popplio. Cosmog cooed a couple more times. Lake got up and walked over to Drake. “ hello ?” Lake tried to the trainer. They had been practicing how to talk to trainers specifically for this trip.
“ hello Totodile.” Lake said “ this cosmog and That popplio.” Lake said suprisngky enough to the trainer, -
Huh- what? What's this 'mon floating around Drake? His expression immediately softens as he observes the Cosmog, as he's never seen one before.
Oh yeah. There's a trainer. "Hello." He nods curtly. While his appearance was very reclusive (to say the very least) the totodile in his lap was as curious as can be, very fixated the new trainer in front of them. "I've, never seen either of those pokemon before," Drake admits. His voice is naturally soft, as if he wasn't quite sure how to use it- what a contrast from his default look. "They're from, Alola?"
