Jonas looked up at Greed. “How’d you know? I mean - yeah. I do wonder That, now that he told me about it.”

“ he was a sweet kid, we didn’t our best to protect him from the jealousy of our younger siblings, he was a pure sweetheart, he just wanted to be friends...and then your original self came, given the choice between betraying rantaro and saving your kingdom...you led him into a trap, and he lost something that day...he never told us what.”

“ ....just be there for him.” Greed said patting his head as the maid returned with soup and left it with them.

Jonas held the soup in his hands, feeling the warmth and making sure it wouldn’t kill Rantaro. Could demons even get burned?

The young man say up weakly, he reached for the spoon.

“Here, I’ll do it.” He said, taking the spoon, making sure it wasn’t scorching before carefully spooning it into his mouth.

“Are you alright? It looks like a nasty cold.” Jonas said softly, dipping the spoon back into the bowl. -

Rantaro made a noise of agreence. “ I wasn’t ready to leave my bed yet b but I I i needed you .” -
“ I know baby don’t think about that right now.” He said, giving his fiancé more soup.

Making sure Rantaro was peacefully asleep, Jonas curled into bed next to him and pretty much passed out,
