Lauren started taking notes on the city. On the way to the queen, she saw the townspeople. Some looked like the stranger, others like elves, some like reptiles and the rest were unknown. One thing was for sure, none of them have ever seen a human before.

Nox kept glancing at her to make sure he didnt leave her behind as he led her to the gates to the palace, landing in front of them

Lauren saw the large palace and thought it was so beautiful. She had been to old castles before but none like this. She then asked "I'm sorry , I never asked for your name."

Nox turned hos head to look at her "i am Nox. And you?" he asked

Lauren replied "My name is Lauren, nice to know you."

Nox nodded and lifted a wing to knock on the door

A guard came to the door and said "Ah Nox. What brings you here?"

"A human fell into the outer tunnels" Nox said, gesturing over to Lauren

The guard saw Lauren and dropped his jaw. He opened the doors real wide and said "Go on ahead."

Nox nodded and glanced at her before leading her through the doors

Lauren followed Nox throughout the halls.

Nox led her to the throne room, landing and looking at her

The queen was sitting on a throne and looked at Nox. She asked "Nox, to what do I owe this surprise visit?"

Nox bowed his head to her "i found a human while patrolling the outer tunnels" he said calmly

The queen looked at Lauren and said "A human." She studied Lauren for a moment and said "Yes, yes, she's the one."
