Lauren looked at the map she was given and started to follow it as well as possible.

Nox nerrowed his eyes and then took flight again, twisting in mid air to head back the way he had come. he reached a branch in the path and took the right one, flying for a few minutes before stopping again

Lauren was too busy looking at the map to pay attention to the ground. Without warning, the ground gave way and she fell into a slippery tunnel. She just kept sliding through the darkness.

Nox heard something and shot off down the tunnel, looking for the source on the crumbling stone to see if it was going to cause any problems

Lauren continued to slide until she hit some sort of black mass.

Nox squeaked as something fell on top of him and was forced to the ground, quickly trying to get out from under it. he managed to shove the thing that landed on him off and lap to a clear patch of ground, using his wings to prop himself up as he looked at the human at first in anger and then surprise

Lauren shook her head and rubbed it in pain. She stood up and looked around. She saw the black mass she ran into but wasn't sure if it could speak or was hostile so she stayed silent.

"How did you find this place" he said after ge got over his surprise, his deep voice echoing around them as he narrowed hos pink eyes at her in suspicion

Lauren was surprised by the voice and answered "By accident, I guess. I fell down and the ground gave way under me."

Nox tilted his head slightly in thought and looked down the tunnel as he straightened up "follow me" he said after a few seconds before he spread his wings and started heading down the tunnel, going slow enough that she wouldnt get left behind

Lauren followed and took out her notebook. It wasn't easy to see what she was writing but she tried to right down a description of the strange creature she was following.

Nox heard her writing and turned his head slightly to look at her "what are you doing?" he asked, sounding curious

Lauren said "Nothing important. Where are we going?"

Nox looked ahead "im taking you to the queen" he said after a moment

Lauren said "The queen?" and she wondered if all the legends really were true.
