Jackson ran his hand through his hair and took the coke she offered. He waited for Kylie's dad to take a drink first. He doesn't know why, maybe he considers that as "manners."
-
"You two seem to be getting along..." Kylie told them, a fake smile on her lips and a frustrated look in her eye. Her father smiled, opening his coke. "How about a toast then?" Her father offered Jackson, raising his bottle. "Oh, I just remembered, Mom wants to talk to you." Kylie blurted a lie, deciding she needed to talk to Jackson. She would deal with the consequences of the lie later. "Alright then." Her father replied with a nod of understanding before heading to the kitchen.
-
Jackson opened his coke bottle, and drank half of the bottle in one gulp. "What's up, babe?"
-
"Don't call me babe." Kylie muttered after her father left. "What did you say... What the hell did you f---ing say... to make my father like you so much!?!" Kylie asked quietly, knowing her father knew that Jackson was the school player. Whatever gold from hell Jackson said... She may need it for real boyfriends in the future that her father would be protective over.

"Hey honey, what's up?" Her mother asked. "Did you send for me?" He asked. "No." She replied. "Then our daughter just wanted some privacy with her boyfriend." He replied. "Ahhh." She replied with a chuckle. -
"I was just being honest. And its nothing for you to know babygirl." Jackson smirked, "Okay, I need to stop calling you that."
-
Kylie was seriously confused at this point, and stared at him in frustrated confusion. "For once, we agree." She sighed in response to his second statement.
-
Jackson stood up and held his arm out, "Shall we, princess?"
-
Kylie raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms in confusion. "Shall we what?" She asked in confusion,
-
"Shall we go eat? Do I have to say it all before you understand?" He dropped his arm in frustration.
-
"My mom will call us when it's time for dinner." Kylie told him. She knew that her family wasn't the only one who had that system for family dinners. Every family dinner she had been to had the same thing. "Alright! Time for dinner!" Her mom finally called. Kylie smiled, waving her hand for Jackson to follow her to the dining room.
-
"f---ing finally." The kid was starving.
-
Her father chuckled. Yeah, that's right. Mr. Watch you Language! Mr. Mind your manners! Chuckled. Chuckled at the school player for swearing at the length it took to cook dinner for him. He chuckled. Why, of all the days, did Jackson have to meet her father on a good day? There was nothing Kylie could do to hide the befuddled look on her face as her mother and father served dinner in the dining room.
-
Jackson laughed and apologized for that. He sat down next to Kylie, and adjusted his jacket.
-
Kylie's cheeks betrayed her again, blushing slightly when he sat next to her and her parents sat across from them.
-
Jackson waited for then to start eating first before he and Kylie could.
