Kylie looked at his act in confusion. Then it hit her. Of course. Of course he would have experience dealing with fathers. "Yes... I have heard a lot about you." Her father replied, eying Kylie suspiciously. "Would you like to stay for dinner?" Her father asked. Please say no... Please say no... She prayed in her mind.
-
Jackson bowed his head 15 degrees this time. "Yes, sure. Thank you." He then looked at Kylie, "You're okay with this right?" He asked-a little late tho- pouting slightly.
-
"Yeah sure..." Kylie replied, not wanting to seem suspicious. She hoped that her father would do something to scare him off. Once her father entered the house, she released the fake smile. "Don't you have your own family to eat dinner with? Or another girl who's father you need to impress?" She muttered, walking slowly to her house.
-
Jackson wrapped his arms around her shoulder, "This'll be fun, wouldn't it?" He pecked her cheeks, shortly with a sly grin and stood by the door for her to walk in, "Ladies first."
-
Kylie took his hand off her and looked at the floor to hide her blushing. She put her hands in her pockets and walked inside, muttering under her breath. Then she took a deep breath and faked a smile, walking into the kitchen to help her mom make dinner while the guys talked.

"So, Jackson. Tell me about yourself." Kylie's father began, sitting on the couch with his arms crossed. -
Jackson sat on a single couch, resting his elbows on his knee. "I'm just a normal guy trying to save up enough money and get out of college. I study hard and i also play too. My parents aren't really there anymore to take care of me. So I have learned to be independent. Sometimes I get really lonely, and I don't get enough sleep. I am really grateful sir. Inviting me for dinner, I am grateful for that." Jackson was being 100% sincere on this one. He hasn't had a meal with his family for what seems like an eternity. Etc etc
-
He looked at him in concern and thought over everything he said. He was surprised at the boy's thorough honesty, and processed the information. "What college do you want to go to?" He asked, starting with the smaller questions.
-
Jackson smiled a bit, "It's a college in China. Shanghai Jiao Tong College."
-
"Interesting. What do you want to do when you graduate?" He continued, thinking over the information.
Meanwhile, Kylie ignored her mother's teasing as they made roast beef and potatoes for dinner. Normally, this was Kylie's favorite meal. However considering who they were sharing the meal with, she wasn't really looking forward to it, -
"Well, after I graduate I'd like to go into music. Producing songs, writing them and also rapping. My Dad doesn't really want me to do any of that, he's not in support....this is one of the reasons he left." Jackson said then he coughed, "I mean...I'm preeetty hungry haha" he didn't want to come off awkward. But why was he saying all this though?? Why did he want Kylie's dad to trust him so bad?
-
He chuckled and smiled. "Alright then. I just have one last question." He replied, knowing he would have to watch carefully for lies or acts with this question, especially since this kid was a player. "How do you feel about my daughter?" He asked in a clear, calm, protective, and reasonable voice.
-
Jackson internally screamed. b----y Brat. Smart ass chick. Quoeen sassafras. My babygirl- wait what thef---? he said in his head.
"She's...special." THAT I did not.plan to say
"I've never been in a relationship with any girl before." Despite being a player.
"Since its my first, I'd want it to last. I want us both to grow and learn together. About life, families and ourselves. She's just really special."
I mean it, I meant it when I said you were the first. You really are. -
He chuckled at the boy's awkrawdness. He recognized that the boy's love was real, he just wasn't mature enough to realize it quite yet. "Alright then. I can tell that she may not feel the same way, or she does, just doesn't want to." He continued, knowing his daughter had been faking earlier. "So how did you get her to agree to dating you?" He continued, this time his voice was friendly and teasing, now that he trusted the boy.
-
"Okay that's a long story." Jackson laughed heartily.
-
"I understand." He chuckled.

Kylie decided to check on the guys, bringing out drinks. She nearly dropped the coke bottles in her hands when she saw them acting like old friends. Why did guys always have to get along so easily? The one time she Wanted her father to be over protective... She rolled her eyes before offering them each a coke bottle.
