I'll kick it)
Matthew came to a stop with his black Chevelle, stopping in a parking spot as he stared out into the massive field where the carnival was being held at. He was relatively new to the area, just moving to the town two months ago after he had got a job at the high school. With a sigh, he opened the doors and got out shutting and locking up before heading to the line at the booth to go in.
Around him he could hear kids cheering, and adults and teens chatting about as he approached the booth and laid the ten dollar fee to enter. He was curious to see what it was like, having never been to one before. And so far it was great and he had just entered the place. -
Calliope followed she blue mark on the move around as she shot at the moving figures knocking them down. The machine stopped and the lights flashed blue on the gun she was holding, she smirked slightly, "Awe fu-how the hell do you keep on winning?" The red head put the gun down on the counter and hopped up on it and grabbed the gun, "Okay one more time! " Calliope rolled her eyes and laughed turning around and leaning on the counter .
"Lisa get off." Lisa hopped off and looked over at their friend and the guy she'd been talking to for the past fifteen minutes.
"Is she still on that? " Calliope nodded.
"I don't know if she's trying to scam him or sleep with him at this point." They watched as she leaned in and talked to him he laughed and tossed the rings at the jars, two hits and a miss. One looped around one of the more difficult ones to get earning him a fair amount of points. Their friend stepped away from him a bit and tossed her three and they all hit on the hardest one to get.
"She's scamming him." they said at the same time and laughed. She collected her money from the embarrassed boy and his laughing friends came to collect him as the girl took a small multicolored owl from the man running the game and put it in her bag. She walked over to the friends with a bright smile, "What a wonderful day to earn so money, mis amores."
"Kat, what did I say about speaking Spanish?" Mateo yelled waking up to them,
"Not to cause I sound too white." she said with long sigh, "but in my defense, Teo, I thought you left." he laughed quietly.
"Where are Roman, Patton, and Gideon?" Teo asked looking around.
"Love birds ran off for a quicky I think and Gideon went to throw something in his truck. They'll catch up though." Kat explained with a shrug.
"Just us then... I vote food." they nodded her shrugged and said their quiet agreements and started to look for where to grab some food. -
Matthew had paid to get inside and walked inside of the carnival place as he watched the people walking, running, and playing around the place. He shoved his hands in his front pockets as he began to walk around and see what all was here.
He came to a stop at a stall thing though, with a man who was selling food and drinks and he could use something.
"Just a coke, please." he said, handing over two dollars to the man who in return gave him his drink. Matt soled and thanked the man as he took the drink and continued on his walk around the place. -
Calliope followed behind her friends laughing. "Funnel cakes!" Kat yelled and started running to wherever she saw the sign Teo jumped and ran after her.
"What I want one!" Lisa yelled and bolted, she only made it a few feet before she ran into a man, she fell on the ground but got right back up and chased after them. A brown haired boy ran past Calliope his glasses almost falling off his face, he shoved them back on before jumping on Lisa for a hug. She heard her yell 'what the hell Gideon!' as they laughed. Calliope chuckled softly and walked up to the man,
"I'm uh... sorry about her... She gets tunnel vision when food's involved." -
Matt was walking around, sipping on his drink, as he had his eyes over watching some people play some game at a nearby stall. He heard a girl voice yell out 'funnel cakes' and a few seconds later, the next thing he knows is somebody run into him, falling to the ground causing him to lose grip on his cup dropping it to the ground in the process. The girl had disappeared when he turned to help her, when he saw someone walk up to him. He chuckled a bit and hook his head, "No worries, I understand with that." he said to her, guessing she was probably a friend of the girl who ran into him. "Funnel cake is amazing after all."
-
Calliope laughed, "Yeah it is. At least it was just funnel cake, when the Beaver Lodge truck is here they're like fricken animals. They love the poutine from that place, no places make it around here so they only get it when the food truck is here carnival." she smiled, "I'm Calliope by the way."
-
Matt laughed as he stood there. Shaking his head. "I would have probably been ran over in that case then, it would see." he said to her, getting a good look at her now. "I'm Matthew, or just Matt. Sorta new to the place." he introduced himself.
-
Calliope nodded, "Oh well probably, she wouldn't of noticed either. " she said with a smile. She put her hands in the back lockets of her jeans, "Well Matthew are you just new to the carnival scene or the town in general because that should change your attack plan." she ran a hand through her hair fixing it a bit, her black 'Mexican Funeral' her t-shirt styles crop top hung loosely off her body and her blue faded out jeans clung tightly to her legs. She tilted her head waiting for an answer.
-
Matt laughed lightly and shook his head, some. "Town or carnival? Both, actually. Moved here a month or two ago, still getting used to the place though still. I came from Florida. Not where I was born, but I was there for a good few years." he replied to her, putting his arms behind his back as he kept his eyes on her, and nodded.
-
Calliope jumped slightly, "Oh man, so much is running through my head right now I don't even know where to start." She pulled her hands out from her pockets and used gestures to try to process her thoughts more, "Come on. Okay never eat at any of the places on 7th, never, its bad news. Stay clear of Kelly's, Poppy's, the Poppies on 4th 6th and Clarkson, the McDonalds on StevWest, the 70's dinner, the 80's dinner and 50's dinner on Remembrance, Collins, and Jones, respectfully, oh, and never eat at the place beside the Resurrection Cemetary the foods not too bad but its creepy. Good food, all the Jack Astors but the one on Harmony, Chucks RoadHouse is really good, there's only one. The hole in the wall burger place with the red sign and the green door is the good one, red door and green sign, bad one, Hunan's Chinese food is amazing just always take out. If you're a gym guy only Goodlife or Lifetime the other places have s---ty equipment and/or staff. Bars are pretty much at your judgment just not the decent one on Park it's a biker bar it doesn't look it but it is. Clubs, you got your standard country, Golden Corral, and Luckies. Vampire, if you're into that, Neo, Domain, and Killz. You've got Canadian bars, one for many states, Irish, French and Brazillian but they're all pretty obvious. Gar bars and Drag Queen places are mainly all on West, I mean I'm sure there are others but those are the best. Kink clubs are BlackDoor, U4, Magz, and When. I don't know what kind of man you are Matt I'm not here to judge, just giving you all the options. Also, I'm not regulars at all these places I just know a lot of people..."She nodded slightly and put her hands in her pockets, "I mean there's a lot of landmines here you should avoid as well but you might want a guide for that one." She said with a slight smile.
-
Matt listened to her speak closely, making sure to hear everything she had said. It was alot, and he was sure he would forget most of it by the end of the night. "Wow.." he began, shaking his head as she had finished. "So avoid most places? Noted." he said to her."that's alot there. A good amount of clubs and bars here too huh?" he said with a chuckle smiling.
-
Calliope laughed, "Yeah quality can be a little hard to find. Food safety codes and stuff aren't as regulated as they should be but meh what can you do." she shrugged putting her hands back in her pockets, "Big town. You'll probably never run into the same person twice if you're not looking for em." she said with a smile.
-
Matt nodded his head to her and looked around once more at the place, staring at some kids playing some game nearby for a moment, before back to her. "I do know this place is quite big." he spoke, with another nod of his head, turning back to her once more with a smile.
