Left. Right. Side B, heavy punch, low kick. Eddy repeated these words in his head as he subconsciously pressed buttons down on his controller. He had been playing the same game for more than 6 hours, nothing but a small bathroom break stopping him from this button smashing fest. He was focused, in sync, and... suddenly distracted. From across the street he could hear the incessant sound of a door being whacked repeatedly by what can only be a human hand. This whacking, for what seemed like after an eternity for Eddy, finally came to an end when his neighbor, Max, answered and started speaking.

Coraline was babysitting a little kid. She thought,"The parents should be here any minute now." Then someone knocked on her door. She gave the kid a cookie, hoping it was the parents, she went to it.

Thalia grinned when Max opened the door, his hair disheveled, and frowning. "What." Thalia giggled and started to explain. When she was done Max stared at her. "No way." Thalia nodded. "Yup, come see. But first, Coraline's first! And then Eddy's!" And she dragged the two of them off to their other best friends house, poor Max having no say in any of this.

"Have you noticed I kinda look like s--- right now?" Max rolled his eyes. "Eh, I always do." He sighed following Thalia, barely awake.

Eddy somewhat tuned out the conversation Thalia and Max were having until he heard "But first, Coraline's first! Then Eddy's!" Eddy sighed and set down his controller, after pressing pause, of course. Coraline isn't that far from his house, so Eddy estimated he had around 5-15 minutes of alone time left before his mom made him hang out with the three musketeers.
