"Yeah. The world kinda sucks." Laura blurted, looking out the window as she ate.

Archaios smiled faintly as his ears twitched and then he started toying with the puzzle ring, humming softly

"F***. Okay. We better get out of here." Laura suddenly freaked as she heard sirens in the distance. A human ear couldn't hear them. But she had the senses of a Wolf.

Archaios's ears twitched and then his head snappef up, looking around in alarm before his ears pressed flat against his head, a fearful whimper escaping him

Laura quickly pulled out of the campsite and sped off down a deserted road. The road lead to the border of Mexico and America. Laura crashed through the fence and quickly drove o the American highway.

Archaios curled up in to a frightened little fluff ball, covering his head with his arms as his tail curled around him

"We're fine now." Laura told him. "The mexican police won't follow us this far. And they won't care enough to tell the Americans. So unless we draw attention to ourselves here we will be ok." She told him.

Archaios slowly uncurled but was trembling as he looked at her

Laura was glad, because she knew they were fine. But she was also a little tense because of her memories in America.

Laura pulled into an American motel. "We'll have to book a place to sleep tonight. You should go get a passport so you can get on a plane tomorrow." Laura told him. -
Archaios nodded "ok" he said softly as his ears went down

Laura smiled, hoping to comfort him. She liked having the company. But she knew the American FBI would be on her tail if she was recognized by anyone. She didn't want this stranger to get captured just for getting a ride from her. He could get on a plane. She couldn't. Laura got out of the car and entered the hotel.
