Magic, is a great thing to have, or it was, until it was banned. You see, magic is terrible for humans and modern technology is awful for magical creatures, so when the humans took over they banned magic and used technology to enforce the ban.
Because of the ban wizards had to either stop using magic or go into hiding, and most of them chose the latter. Magic has been banned for a long time now and hiding from the humans is normal for wizards, but when the ban was still new some wizards realized something, wizard children could still be in danger. Of course they could protect their own children, but what about the children of non-wizards, they wouldn't know they are wizards and might accidentally do magic and be punished for it. So, some wizards made a safe place that was hidden from humans, and they would find young wizards and take them to the place and then train them in magic, and other things, but mostly magic.
Our characters are the only wizards of each of their species, which is weird because their species have long been known to not be able to be wizards. Anyway, they are found and brought to the place. At the place when new people are brought there they are put into groups with other people who they will train with, our characters are put into a group together.
Modern.
You're character can't be a human.
You can't have the same species as someone else.
You can't have the same role in the group as someone else.
You can't have the same main magic type as someone else.
My character is a weredeer who is the healer of the group and her main magic type is forest magic.
The place is on an island.
They have to wear wizard robes because they are always made of magic material that makes the wearer's magic more powerful and makes it easier to do magic, it will also protect them better from humans. Their fighting outfits are also made of this material and so is their formal outfits. They are given these clothes when they enter the building. Their normal clothes and sleep clothes aren't made of the material.
Starts when they are arriving at the island.
