Lily squeaked in surprise and covered her ears, "Don't do that, that was loud." then she laughed and said, "I'm glad you're back! Look at this, do you like it?" she asked showing her friend the picture, the easiest to see title was the one on the book that the tortoise was standing on and it was, The Tortoise And That's Not A Chair, she hoped Mavis would think that was funny.

(Is it okay if they aren't dating but kiss on cheeks and forehead? Coz I do that with my Best friend.)
Mavis giggled. "I love it!" The bus came round the corner.

Lily smiled, "Thanks!" she said as she stood up. -
Mavis kissed Lily's cheek and paid for both of their fares. As soon as she turned to everyone, she felt her tail tense. She wanted to release it and swirl it around, hold it proud, but she couldn't, and she hated that.

Lily looked at the seats and said, "Where do we want to sit?" part talking to herself and part asking Mavis.

"Here is great!" Mavis sat down and flicked her ears gently. Her ears. She blushed and silently freaked out. Did Lily see?

Lily didn't notice and she sat down next to Mavis.

Mavis breathed out heavily. The bus pulled up at school, and Mavis hurriedly got off, her heart racing.

Lily followed Mavis and as she walked she folded up her picture and put in her pocket.

Mavis pulled out her timetable. She had French first, her least favourite lesson. She groaned and stalked up the entrance stairs. She signed in and hung around, waiting for lessons to start. She wasn't exactly paying attention, just focusing on keeping herself still.

Lily cheerfully skipped into class, she liked French class, really she just liked learning other languages. -
As she walked in the room, Mavis could feel her tail tense. French always made her uncomfortable, and she didn't know why.
