Thomas smiled, "sweetie, you're daddy isn't leaving you okay? He's just going for some work. So let him go. Now go meet your mom." He told her.

Nicole tilted her head"Alright daddy , don't be gone long" she said and wobbled over to a crying Amelia who picked her up and hugged her, and cried as she looked at Thomas.She mouthed "I'm sorry,I love you" as she turned and walked I nnwith a sob

Thomas felt his heart pound.
He got in the taxi and it drove off.
(Time skip? Three more years?) -

Amelia sighed softly as she got up and woke up 6 year old Nicole, and got her ready for 2nd grade, she sighed, it was also the anniversary of him leaving, like every day Nicole asked"Are you sure Dad is coming back?" Amelia nodded"HE promised you didn't he?" she would say, and start on breakfast -
Thomas now drank more. His eyes were red.
"Three years? Ain't that just funny?" He laughed, and threw the botlle away, "Its not." He said and heard the glass break and shatter. -
Amelia sighed softly as she saw Nicole,looked just like him , she did, except for her eyes, her eyes were like hers.She made eggs and she and NIcole ate NIcole said"All the girls at school have dads" Amelia clenched her fists around her fork"You have one honey,he just has things he has to do" she said softly , and picked NIcole up and walked ot the car, a old minivan, she had to sell the jeep to pay for the house .

"I used to love her. Until she said she loved me too...but it was just one sided." He layed on the couch, laughing.
He wasn't drunk. Just stirred up in anger.
"I wonder how she is now. And my little Nicole." He said and stared at the huge picture of Amelia that was on the wall. -

Amelia buckled her daughter up and sighed , she had another phone call, she picked it up .
"Hello?"
"We need you at the office now"
"I'm a little busy,and I am not going to leave my daughter at home so I'll be there when I'll be there"she said angrily and closed got in the car and buckled up and started driving NIcole to school -
"Sir?" A smartly dressed woman with glasses walked in, "You have a call from the office." She said.
Thomas sighed and got up, "My jacket? Tell them I'll meet them there instead." He told her.
"Okay sir." She said and went to get his jacket.
She walked back in and helped him wear it.
He smirked and grabbed his suitcase as he left. -
Amelia groaned , Nicole was late,as usual, she parked and picked her daughter up and walked her into the school.
"I love you sweetie , have a good day at school"
"OK mom,but when will dad see me"
Amelia bit her lip so much it bleed"I don'tknow baby"
"You have said that for a while mom"
Amelia sighed and said"Just go to school honey"
Nicole left and Amelia got back in her car -
Thomas got in the car as the driver drove.

Amelia looked to the side andn thought she saw Thomas in the car but kep looking at the road,she must have been crazy at this point,she needed to get to the college.
