"Um, you betrayed God?" James asked.

"I dated a Jewish guy, spray painted the church door, dressed my little sister in short shorts and a v-neck tank top before sending her to school, and took the Jewish guy to church so he would break up with me." Emily replied. And that wasn't counting the stuff she did just to drive her parents crazy. That stuff she did because she didn't think of them as bad. She liked the Jewish guy but her parents didn't. And that door and her sister looked stylish!

"Well..." James looked in surprised. "Same over here. By the way, do you still have the shorts?"

Emily was confused as to why he wanted to know that. Her sister was eight, so using the shorts wouldn't be helpful. And he didn't even know the style. But as odd as the question was, she answered. "Uh... No. Mom and Dad threw them out." Emily replied.

"Oh" he said and looked out the window.

"Why?" Emily asked, tilting her head curiously.

"What?"

"Why did you want to know about the clothes?" Emily asked, blushing with embarrassment.
