James got into the bus. The scenario was different - smoke, cigarettes, guys.

Emily watched as the boy came on the bus. "Hi there." She greeted, seeing that he was the only person comfortable to talk to. Emily fiddled with her necklace as she studied the bus.

James heard someone call hi. He looked towards where the sound came from. As he was socially challenged, he just managed a simple hi, without any smile or any sign if gentle behavior.
Having no place to sit, he went near her and sat next to her. He said, "Um, I'm sitting here." with a tone of complete innocence -
"Okay." Emily replied, smiling. He didn't sound like he belonged at her new school. But then again, she didn't look like she belonged there. But Emily knew she probably did belong there. "So, what's your name?" I'm Emily." She introduced.

"I'm James," he replied, casually. He took out a cigarette out, trying to blend with the crowd in the bus, and lit it with a lighter. He looked at Emily, unknowing what her reaction towards a guy smoking next to her would be.

Emily groaned slightly and stood up to open the window more. She stood to breath the air from the window instead of the drug infested smoke of the bus. The bus driver was going to tell Emily to sit down. But she had a heart and allowed the girl to breath.

He noticed Emily's uncomfortable feeling. He asked, "Do I throw it away?" and forced a smile, so that he doesn't look like a threat.

"Uh... Yes please." Emily replied, blushing with embarrassment. She sat black down and breathed the air that blew down from the window.

Till then James didn't notice how the girl was. Getting a better look, he found that she's pretty. He threw away his cigarette.

"Thanks." Emily sighed. "So, what are you in for?" She asked, turning to him.

James hummed a question. "I don't know, you?"

"I betrayed God, according to my parents." Emily laughed.
