Derek saw her on the tree but for some reason he didn't want to talk.

Mary glanced down at him but just opened her book and started to read -
Derek waited for her to say something, *Mary speak!* he thought.

MAry glanced down again"Hello" she said looking down at him

"Hi Mary, didn't see ya there." Derek smiled. -
MAry looked at him suspiciously but then laughed."So, how did it go with Ashlynn?" she asked

"We broke up, don't wanna talk about it." Derek sighed.

Mary was silent ."I'm so sorry, I went back home and the police were there , they asked me what happened and I said he had hit me and cut me and threatened me and then I came home to this after I left so I can go back home in a few days" she said smiling at him

*few days? She can stay with you dery!*
"Oh, that's bad. You know there's this guy that stays alone at home, you can go stay with him? He's super handsome and nice." Derek smiled, referring to himself. -
Mary crossed her eyes while he was talking then laughed"Sure, I'll stay with you, Derek! Hows your Mom and Sister?" she asked

"Delilah is an actress in Las Vegas now and she needs mom's support there, so they're fine." Derek said.
*tell her! Ask her! Do it!* -
"That's Great! Tell her I hope she makes it Big!" said Mary then Young Volcanoes started playing on her phone."One sec" she looked at the phone and typed something " I'm good now" she said putting it down,

Derek wanted to know what that was.
"What was that?" He asked. -
"Just my brother Michael asking how I was" she said and slipped her phone in her pocket
