AvocadoWhitty NoviceElani was hiding behind the tree. She knew Hatsumi would come back and she was poised and ready with a present in her hand.

Hatsumi sighed and sat where she normally did. She saw Light in the distance. He was smiling with his friends. She felt a twang in her heart. He looked so happy. She was so upset with Elani and Light.

AvocadoWhitty Novice"Hatsumi.." Elani said coming round from the other side of the tree with the present in her hands, "Here, to make it up to you." She said and placed a present wrapped in purple paper with a silver ribbon on her lap.

Hatsumi stroked the purple paper. She looked at Elani. "W-What is it?" She asked as she carefully tugged at the ribbon

AvocadoWhitty Novice"Well I knew i had to make it up to you so I made you a little present." Elani explained as Hatsumi pulled of the ribbon and gently unfolded the paper. Inside was a little purple top with small shoulder straps and a pink ruffle, to go with it was a small pink ruffle skirt. "Are they okay?" Elani asked with desperation.

Hatsumi stared at the clothes. "They're... Beautiful.." She whispered. She looked over at Light, who was still hanging around with his friends. She bit her lip. "Th-Thanks..." She said

AvocadoWhitty Novice"That's not all!" Elani exclaimed as she went to the back of the tree and pulled out a small tabby kitten. "He's yours now." Elani said smiling.

Hatsumi clapped her hand to her mouth. Tears of happiness filled her eyes. She took the kitten from Elani and clasped it to her chest gently. She stroked it carefully. "Elani.. I-" she was cut of by her own sobs. She kneeled and cried into the kitten's beautiful fur.

AvocadoWhitty Novice"Right so now that we are friends again, wanna go see if your man still likes you?" Elani asked with a sideways smile on her face.

Hatsumi grinned and nodded. She carried the kitten in her arms. "One thing" She said. "Is this cat a boy or a girl?"

"Well, if it's mine i'm gonna wanna name it!" She said as they walked down the hill slowly.

AvocadoWhitty NoviceElani sent Hatsumi to find Light so they could apologise to each other, but Elani was worried something might happen, something bad.

Hatsumi skipped over to where Light was. She turned around. "Elani, you can tell him exactly what I saw and how I reacted. Then I'll speak." She raised her eyebrows.

AvocadoWhitty Novice"Do i have to?" Elani asked in a whiny way "I might mess up and make things worse." "And also I'm not the one needing to apologise am I?" Said Elani making several points why she shouldn't speak up and that it was Hatsumi that should speak first.
