"Sorry." Alex sighed after hearing their conversation. "I'll get out of your way." He told her, walking out the cafe. He walked up to the girl's. "Listen, I'm pretty sure she was just trying to be nice to a looser guy who had nothing compared to her. She's done hanging out with me so give her a break." He told them, walking away. He would eat breakfast at the dumpster. He'd feel at home there...
-
Corel stood there, mind blank, And then she started to cry. Why did he leave her? He was now her only friend! Thise girls didnt want her! They hated her!
-
Alex heard the crying before leaving the popular girls for the dumpster. He wondered if fixing her friendship would work if he went to comfort her. He sat in the hall watching the popular girls to see what would happen.
-
The popular girls walked away laughing. "What a freak" The said. Yes, they were talking about Corel.
-
Alex glared at the girl's and walked back to the cafe. "I'm sorry... I tried to tell them to go back..." Alex explained sitting with her. He twiddled his thumbs, feeling awkrawd and bothered. Why did he even care about this girl? He didn't know. He just knew he did care. "Why did you choose to hang out with me then?" He asked.
-
-
-
"Because. Im nice. They are not." Corel said wiping her tears
-
"Well, I can see that... Yes. You're very nice. But I don't want you to give up your life because you want to be nice to me." He told her. He appreciated that she was being nice to him. But he didn't want anyone to pity him. She was pretty, nice, and seemed pretty cool though... He blinked those thoughts out of his head. And sat with her to see what would happen.
-
"I dont care anymore" She shrugged and sniffled
-
"Are you wanting me to leave?" He asked, wondering if he should apologize for getting in her way. He didn't like getting in the way. He didn't like attention. He just liked to stay in the background.
-
"Please dont. Your the only person I have" She said tucking her legs to her chest.
-
"Okay..." He replied, sitting with her. He wasn't sure what to say. Wasn't she the most popular girl in school? It didn't make sense that she'd rather hang out with a nobody like him, than someone like her. Why did she give up her other friends to sit with him?
-
Corel sat there and smiled. She missed her friends. But like I said; she was different.
-
"So... What do we do now?" Alex asked, staring at the floor. People stared as they walked by. And why wouldn't they? A pretty, clean, neat, and friendly girl like her sitting next to a shaggy, dull, dirty, and awkrawd boy like him. It was certainly a strange scene. He felt a little uncomfortable by that. But it was nice to have company.
