Marie saw what Mark was doing so she picked him up off zoeys leg " here zoey I'll hold him until the bus leaves I'll find my own way to school." She said with a smile holding Mark in her arms

"No, just put him down and run on!" Zoey told Marie as she got on the bus. "Ready? Three, two, one!" She yelled, holding her hand out to pull Marie on.

Marie dropped him down gently then ran on the bus taking her hand

Zoey pulled Marie on and the bus drove off. Zoey sighed as she looked out the window. She felt really bad, seeing him crying as he watched the bus leave. Their mom picked him up and took him inside. Zoey hoped he'd be okay.

Marie looked at her " you okay?" She could tell she felt bad " you know I wouldn't mind, I can get to school pretty fast" slash told her " hey wanna skid something after school? Hang with with friends ?"

"Okay." Zoey replied, smiling. "But what's a skid?" She asked.

Marie looked at her confused then noticed her mistake " oh sorry I mean do you want to do something after school" she smiled a bit she hated messing up in front of people.

"It's okay." Zoey smiled. "What do you want to do?" She asked.

Marie shrugged " movies? You can invite some friends if you want" she smiled a bit

"Okay. I'll ask Jenna and Walter." She replied. Jenna didn't really like going places with them after school for some reason. But it was worth a shot. "Jenna might not come. She doesn't often hang out with people after school."

" oh ok. Maybe she may change her mind" marie told her. "So you'd have to tell me where the theater is, even though I've been here for almost two month I don't know this town still" laughing she got up as the bus pulled into the school

Jenna heard them talking. "Change who's mind?" She asked as they got off the bus. "We were wondering if you'd like to watch a movie with us after school." Zoey told her. Jenna sighed. She got pretty... uh... jumpy when in crowds or dark spaces... She didn't want her friends to know that she had FASD... She didn't want them to see her anger issues caused by it... "No thanks. I, uh... have plans." She lied, walking away.

Marie sighed a bit but could understand why, since she didn't go much. She waved bye to Jenna then turned to zoey" so who's next?Walter right?" Asking as she walk down the halls for her first class ." Oh I think Walter is in my first class I could ask him for you"

"Okay. Thanks." Zoey cheered, sighing. "I wonder what Jenna could have planned. She always says she has plans as an excuse not to make plans. She gives me a headache!!!" Zoey sighed as they entered the school. "Well, see ya at lunch!" She cheered.
