later, just before sunset, Walter decided to head out to the forest early. He walked out to the nest and saw Marie sleeping there. He smiled. She was just as pretty as human as she was as Wolf. He watched her sleep for a moment before remembering the confusing scenario that would happen when she woke up. He hid in the trees and recapped his plain until the sun set and he crawled out as Wolf.

Marie has slept most of the afternoon and through sunset. When she woke up she saw the wolf there,looking down at the nest then back at him." Sorry ..I just came to check it out and.. well." She laughed nervously stepping out

"That's okay. I don't mind." He replied, smiling. "I came here earlier and saw you." He told her, leaping in the nest. "Did you have a good rest?" He asked.

Marie nodded slightly " yeah" She stretched then shook of some dirt that was in her fur sitting down. " I just noticed how do you always see me in both forms but I haven't ? It doesn't seem that fair"

Walter looked at the ground and wondered what to say. "Let's just say I don't know you that well, but I like you..." He told her. "You're beautiful, clever, bold... But very unpredictable..." He told her, blushing. "So I don't know how you'll treat me if I tell you who I am." He sighed, running off.

Marie looked at him blushing. "Oh.. I've been through a lot and trust me I won't treat you any different then I do now" she looked at the ground for a moment , looking back up to see him running off. Standing up about to follow him she thought again and let him be

Walter heard what she said and paused. He paced back and forth. He wondered if he should let her figure it out for herself or tell her. He wondered if the secret that he liked her was enough as he returned to the nest. He sat beside her and looked at the stars.

Marie waited there until he came back. " You okay?" She asked him, looking slightly worried

"Yeah." He sighed, laying down. "You?" He asked, a little worried of what she would say.

" yeah I'm okay" she said,looking at the sky. " hey can you tell me your Real name? I know that name you gave me w as fake". She got up ,running to the firefly path making them scatter everywhere lifting the place up

Walter smiled, watching the fireflies. "Um... I don't know..." he replied. He didn't want her to know Walter had a crush on her. He didn't want her to tell Zoey or Jenna...

Marie stoped jumping around ,listening to talking " will you at lest one day tell me?" She asked trying her head. Walking back to his side surrendered
She remembered she didn't come home " oh crap 'm so dead...I never came home" -
"We'll see." He smiled, resting his head and falling asleep.

Marie smiled when he said that. When he fell asleep she quietly walked away to her house to wait until she turned back

The next morning, Walter woke up and ran to school. He was a little disappointed that Marie had left, but also happy because he didn't want her to see who he was. He entered the school early and waited for his friends.
Zoey was trying to get Mark off her leg so she could get on the bus. "Don't go lady! Don't go! The monsters going to get me!" He cried. Their cousin Lewis was staying at their place and had scared Mark. So now Mark was scared to be at home without a protector. "Mom will protect you!" Zoey told him. "She doesn't believe in monsters!" Mark cried. Zoey sighed as Marie came over. "A little help?" Zoey asked.
