Picey sprung from her bead very excited for work! Today she was volunteering at the soul factory! She got dressed and flew to work. The way things worked was that your reincarnation depended on the amount of tears that people shaded after you died. This would form an icicle that would form your soul. They would put that icicle in the snow and a Decimal would take it out. Whatever paw print (or hand print if humanoid) was there would be the creature you become. Unless you died doing something kind. Then you became a Decimal.
"Here. Toss these souls." One of the workers told Picey. She nodded and took the souls of people who weren't missed. She accidentally dropped one and picked it up. She saw the memory of the death and saw that the boy's friends and family died in a fire. So since there was no one left for him to be with, he killed himself. "I'm not supposed to do this." Picey whispered after thinking. She tossed the other souls and put that one in her pocket.
(I'm thinking you can put how he died.) -
That1one1person1 NewbiePiper blinked, looking around in confusion. "What???? So wait there is an afterlife?? Cool!" Not that he had wanted to go there. How had he died? Oh, now he remembered.

His little sister Mary had been playing with her friends in the middle of the street, supposedly monitored by aunty but really just unsupervised save for piper. A car came barreling down the street playing a horrible 90s song, so piper did what all bug brothers SHOULD do- he shoved the little kids out of the way and got hit head on by a daytime drunk driver. He could remember nothing after that.
When he got stuffed in a pocket he began to get nervous:

(And all his family died before him in a fire. That's why there were no tears shed after his death. Because everyone that loved him was already dead.)

Picey snuck out the factory and placed the soul on the ground. She placed a snowflake on it and the souls came to life. -

That1one1person1 NewbiePiper popped up, really, REALLY confused, "didn't I just get hit by a car?"

"I guess so. There's not much time to chat. Follow me and I'll explain on the way." Picey sighed, grabbing his arm and running to her car.

That1one1person1 Newbie"Wait if this is the afterlife why are there cars?" Be asked confusedly as he slid in and found some chips and a soda bottle he had in his pocket, "ooh!" He started enjoying his food and drink while tilting his head at pricey expectedly.

"Put those down! And would you rather fly?" She asked, looking out the window to see her boss looking for her.

Picey sighed and dragged him out. She took the snacks from him and placed them on the seat. "Let's go!!!" She yelled, holding his shirt collar and flying off. She stayed hidden in the clouds so that no one could follow her.
