Zander picked up his pace, a bit worried about the other boy's irritated attitude. He was never one to intentionally provoke someone, so it was a bit of a change to see someone rather upset with him. He called out an apology, soon catching up to the boy. As they continued along, he could not help but allow his mind to wonder to the many ways that the evening would go. He hoped silently that the movie would be good. His favorite movie at that point was Halloween, and nothing he had seen after that held the capability of living up to it. It would be interesting to view the movie and compare it to his preferred cinematic feature. When they were at the bus stop, he inhaled, the rather unpleasant scent of car exhaust mingling with his nostrils, causing him to shudder. He did not take the time to say much, unsure of what to say, until a large, hulking piece of metal known as the bus began to arrive. "Looks like we're right on time," he said, watching the large vehicle come to a stop. He waited for Rosado to enter before stepping forward and tossing 2 dollars in for both of their bus fares.
-
Powder NewbieThe driver quickly slid the dollars in and flicked two quarters at zander, while rosado explained how the bus fare was only 50 per person as he sat down on a blue leather seat, his eyes forward as the 10 minute ride quickly passed and soon the cinema was at the side the door faced, ready to unload eager passengers. Rosado quickly stood up, grabbing the other boys wrist to drag him up before slipping into the crowd and turning in the tickets. "Huh. Where's this other person, kiddo?" Rosado smirked as zander came into view and the attendant went silent and scooted them along. Rosado asked "want any snacks?"
-
Zander rose his eyebrows at the fare, but made no argument and returned the quarters to his pocket. He lagged behind the other boy, of course, but eventually caught up, thankful to find that the tickets had been accepted and that they were free to enter. He peered around. He had never been to this particular theater, usually heading to the other side of town in order to watch the films he would wait for for months on end. He looked to Rosado upon hearing the question. "I can grab a popcorn if you want. That's all I usually get when I'm here. If you don't want popcorn, though, anything is fine. I'll pay. It was nice enough for you to give me the ticket." He was acting rather kind and respectful. Perhaps it was only a way to convince the other that he would be a good friend. Maybe it was to make the best of their time on the evening.
-
Powder NewbieRosado shook his head "I helped plan this theater so I have a... Free pass." He smiled awkwardly "my father had trouble with it so I redesigned the plan for him, he added the pillars and badaboom! We have the fluer theater." He walked to the snack counter, leaned on it and ordered two bags of popcorn, a soda and a candy bar as he walked away with his prize and nodded to zander, indicating it was time to walk to the theater room. He started ahead, weaving into the crowd of people for the same movie.
-
Zander listened intently, rather impressed that the family was responsible for such a lovely theater. His own parents were rather successful, but he could never see them creating their own establishment. He nodded in an interested manner, congratulating Rosado for their accomplishment. He examined the other's actions as he retrieved the food from the counter, following him suit as he walked off. He was sure to stay at his side, not wishing to lose the other male in the crowd. It was untouched territory for Zander, and that thought worried him slightly as it was not as though all of his friends were there. They were most likely preparing for the party Gregory had invited him to. Nobody he knew would be hanging around the movie theater at that moment in time, and something about him was beginning to like that. Once they were inside and seated, he looked back to Rosado as the film hadn't started yet. "Thanks for inviting me, again."
-
rosado nodded as the male congratulated him, "my family's responsible for a lot of the buildings in this town. I design them, dad does the construction and mom sells them." he smirked as he heard his awkward accent become more noticeable, a trait he sometimes regretted as it made some people think he was Norwegian. why compare him to a Norwegian? he really didn't know as he slid into his seat and nodded "i saw you like horror novels so I guessed you like horror movies."
-
"s---," he muttered, "And I thought my parents were successful." As he listened to the boy speak, he began to pick up on the accent that was laced within his words. He said nothing of it, however, recalling how exasperated he himself would get when people questioned his tone of voice. When he was younger and spent more time with the Irish individuals in his family, his accent was very pronounced and noticeable. As he grew older, however, and spent more time around people with pure American accents, it slowly became hidden, only showing every once in a great while. He nodded. "Yeah, horror is my preferred genre for just about anything. Except for music, I guess. What about you? Do you like it all or just some parts of it?" Rosado was a whole lot different from his typical crowd of friends and acquaintances, but he found himself rather comfortable with that idea. He did not have to mold his personality to fit those that usually convinced him to attend parties and such. He was able to relax and just be himself, something he liked.
-
"well, who are your parents?" he questioned, not really knowing zanders last name. a Irish tone was what he heard in zanders voice as he also ignored it. his accent never diluted much since he grew up with two parents who talked more fluent in their native languages so he had an awkward tone laced delicately into his voice. somehow this reminded him of a story gis mother had told him but he shrugged it off as the black screen suddenly flicked on and the lights dimmed slowly in the theaters attempt to make it more chilling.
-
As he prepared his answer in his mind, he swallowed heavily upon realizing the movie was about to begin. "Ehm, mom's a marketing agent for some companies and dad's the lead dentist at an office nearby." They were both relatively successful, pulling in a nice amount of cash on a weekly basis. To say the least, they would never have to worry about paying the bills. He mumbled his statement in a very hushed tone, snapping his head towards the screen in order to give the film his full and undivided attention. The boy felt his nose twitch, his lips slightly curling as he found himself automatically invested. Horrors were always his idea of enjoyment and an extreme amount of fun. They were thrilling and always sent a rush of chills down his spine when they got a little too intense. He leaned into the soft seat, his eyes glued to the screen as the first scene began to play out, set in a dark, ominous patch of woods. He was a bit weary as it seemed like a bit of a cliche for the genre, but he shook that silly idea away incredibly fast, as there was always an excuse to give a horror flick a chance.
-
rosado was already glued to the screen, somewhat answering the question he hadn't had a chance to answer. he watched a girl walking through the woods, trailing a hiking stick behind her as she glanced around, a exasperated look glued onto her tanned face as her blue orb looked left and right as if trying to find a trail that disappeared. gnawing his candy bar and his popcorn at the same time, a odd thing emphasized by the fact he liked the taste. a scream from the girl. a calm expression on rosado as if he'd seen the movie a million times.
-
He watched the movie quietly, his head tilted slightly downwards as he examined the movements and actions playing out in sequence on the screen. His heart pounded gently, as it usually did when viewing horror films, his mind attempting to determine just what might take place next. That was another reason he enjoyed those films so much. They often left him questioning and scrambling for an answer to what might have happened and what could happen. He flinched slightly upon hearing her scream, wondering what had caused her to. He felt the hair on the back of his neck stand, a good sign of the fright he was feeling from the movie. It was not typical of him, the last time he'd felt so scared from a movie was Halloween, nothing had matched it since. But there he was, biting his lip as he waited for the next scene.

oh boi
am I acting out some of the movie?
oh boi boi boi I guess so XD
the girl toppled over, the cedar chip scattered floor with red pooling out under her, a smily face carved into her back as suddenly the knife was tossed with skilled perfection right into her left arm, and the scrawled white words "smile" appeared, slanted in the left corner as maniacal laughter sounded. a lot of the audience either screamed or gasped at the sight of the realistic gore, but rosado was calm, a blank expression plastered on his dotted face as he stared up at the screen, continuing to chew the popcorn and chocolate bar mix calmly and slowly/ -
I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT DA MOVIe was supposed to be xD
Zander found himself actually rather afraid of the film, his breathing a bit shaky. He never in a million years would have thought he would crumble to another film, but something about the movie's contents was deeply disturbing to him. It had an effect on him that he had not experienced in an extremely long period of time. That fact frightened him a bit more than the movie itself. He sighed, watching as the movie suddenly cut to a group of teens, holding a conversation in a park at what appeared to be late day. The girl that had previously been killed on the screen was a member of this group, smiling and chatting it up with a handsome fellow. Zander assumed they had done a flash-forward and were now giving the background to the gory scene that had been on the screen. Though the scene was calm and easy to watch, he still found his hands trembling just barely. He shrugged, assuming that it had just been a while and that he would grow used to the fright. -
ITS A MADE UP one wolfie xP
idk its just
a serial killer who carves smileys
how lovely
rosado watched, hearing scraps of dialogue as the groups heads turned to the girl, who claimed there was a police crime scene nearby. how original, he thought sarcastically as the friends wanted to see it. it showed the girl pointing to yellow tape and the teens curiously looking at it, gasping when they saw the body was still there. large splatters of blood, a horrified expression. policemen scribbling nonsensical notes into pads. interviewing with a couple. a teen asking what happened. a vague answer from the police officer. for him it was decently interesting, prodding his brain to pay attention. -
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWO WHAT A NICE MAN :O
As he continued to watch, he felt his stomach churning uneasily. What the f---, Zander? He looked to Rosado, leaning in so he would not talk too loud. "I gotta run to the bathroom." With that, he stood, walking out of the aisle and hurrying off to the bathrooms. It took him a moment to find one, and when he did, he hurried into it, staring at himself in the mirror. "Aye," he started once he figured that he was alone. "You watch better horror movies all the time. Calm the f--- down, you jag. Is there a reason for you to be so freaked out? N-.." That was when he stopped, his eyebrows raising. "Oh. Yes, there is." He laughed at his own idiocy. He'd had crushes before, not usually so quickly, however. How silly of him. He swallowed heavily, brushing his own shoulder off. "Be cool." He snapped his fingers at his reflection. "Be cool." Suddenly, he heard a voice from one of the stalls. It was a gruff voice, one of a man. "Yeah! Be cool." Zander slowly made his exit upon hearing that one, making his way back to the movie's room.
