Muse A and Muse B find an apartment online that they both love. Though theyre strangers when they sign the lease, they agree to share the place. A few days after the move in, they start to question the arrangement.
Muse A is quiet and neat. Muse B is loud and messy. Muse A has a decent job and pays most of the rent, Muse B recently got fired from their job, hasnt told Muse A yet, and isnt in a rush to find a replacement job. Muse A is the responsible type, and Muse B couldnt take care of a goldfish. Muse A likes their privacy and Muse B is happy walking around the apartment half-naked and entering their roommates space without knocking. They hardly agree on anything, from what to order for dinner to what temperature to keep the thermostat on. Just when Muse A is reaching their breaking point and on the verge of giving up the apartment they love to move back home because Muse B is driving them crazy and they cant keep up with bills on their own, Muse A suffers a major setback/loss and Muse B is the only person who understands/can help them get through it. -

While on a trip overseas, Muse A cant help but act like a typical tourist. They sign up for a sight seeing tour and whip out the fancy camera they brought along for this special occasion to take dozens of hi-res photos they can share on their blog later. Muse A accidentally bumps into Muse B, a fellow photographer, as theyre getting off the tour bus and their cameras mistakenly get swapped as they part ways. Muse A doesnt notice that they have the wrong camera until they develop the film/check the thumbnails on computer. Muse A is appalled by what they see in the pictures, and starts to fear what will happen when Muse B realizes that they have their camera along with the photos on it; Muse B must get those photos back at any cost. -

While vacationing in the Caribbean, newlyweds Muse A and Muse B sign up to take a half-day boat excursion to a private island with several other tourists. Being so in love and unable to keep their hands off one another, the amorous couple hatch a plan to sneak away from the group when the opportunity arises to do their own sight-seeing. They discover a romantic, little cove about 2 miles from the shoreline and indulge, losing track of time. When Muse A and Muse B return to the coast, the tour boat is gone. Thinking they simply got turned around somewhere, the hopeful couple treks to the other end of the island in search of their tour boat but they cant find it or any sign of their fellow tourists or guide. Theyre stranded with nothing but the clothes on their back and the contents of their pockets until the next tour boat comes around. -

In the year 2080, people are finally able to travel through space and time rather than just being limited to travel to a geographical location. Time travel is the best vacation money can buy and its surprisingly inexpensive. There are restrictions, of course, that must be followed to ensure the integrity of the space-time continuum. A time traveler must learn the historical background, customs, manner of speaking and dress of the era before booking a trip; there is an exam to ensure such conditions are met. Most importantly, they must not interfere in the events of an era natives life in any significant way. Muse A time travels for the first time after passing their exam and is ready to explore. They meet Muse B, an era-native, almost right away, encountering them in trouble. Muse A knows that they arent allowed to interfere, but they cant in good conscience turn a blind eye to someone in trouble.. because Muse A interferes, they are barred from returning to their present day. Its in the fine print of their time travel itinerary, which they failed to read. -

Muse A is fresh out of school and isnt quite sure what they want to do with their life next. Before they can start shopping their resume around, they get a call from the casting department at a major TV network. Muse A almost forgot about the impromptu audition tape that they made for a Real World-esque reality TV show several weeks ago. To their surprise, theyve been chosen to be a cast member! With no obligations holding them back, they pack their bags and fly out to the house where theyll be living with 6 other people for the summer. Muse B is one of their cast matesthe first person Muse A meets upon arriving at the house. With a little coaxing from production, it isnt long before Muse A and Muse B are in a full-blown show-mance: cuddling in the common areas of the house, kissing in the confessional booth, fighting about the other flirting with someone else at the club and so on. Overall, the experience is a blast for Muse A and the relationship with Muse B is fun, but its nothing Muse A anticipates to last once the show is over. Everyone parts ways when the show wraps at the end of summer, including the houses it-couple. One week after taping ends, Muse A hears a knock at their front door. Its Muse B, whos just moved across the country in the hopes of continuing their romance with Muse A. -

Muse A and Muse B are soulmates. Theyve grown up in the same city all of their lives and despite crossing paths several times, they have not met one another; theyve continuously missed the other by a matter of seconds every time. One fateful morning, Muse A and Muse B happen to arrive in one anothers vicinity. Muse A spots Muse B from across the street just as Muse B is entering into the path of a speeding vehicle. Without thinking, Muse A rushes across the street and takes the brunt of the oncoming car to save Muse Bs life. Muse B is badly shaken from witnessing the accident and gets ushered away from Muse A before they can see the others face. Tragically, Muse A passes away while Muse B is being questioned by police. One week later, Muse B attends Muse As funeral to pay respects after learning their saviors identity through the police report. When Muse B is about to leave the cemetery, they encounter someone who feels eerily familiar, though Muse Bs never seen them before. Muse A isnt sure how its possible still, but theyre certain that theyve been sent back to look after Muse B until Muse B draws their last breath. Muse A does their best to explain this to Muse B, who seems to be the only one who can hear or see them and their angelic set of wings. -

Muse A has always loved nature. Even though they live in an urban area, they find the time to walk to the local park every day and spend a few quiet moments enjoying the greenery and animals around them. They always relax on the same wooden bench and lately have been noticing the animals seem to have grown accustomed to their presence. In particular one beautiful, curious crow. It keeps its distance, but always appears so intelligent and sharp, watching intently with its ebony eyes.
One day Muse A brings a small bag of trail mix as an offering to their new feathered friend. The crow caws happily and devours the assortment of raisins and nuts. The following day Muse A returns with a snack and the crow is there, this time with a shiny twist of metal in its beak. When the treats are scattered along the ground, the bird drops the paperclip - a gift - at Muse As feet.
This ritual exchange carries on until one day, the crow doesnt show. Muse A is heartbroken, missing the therapeutic one-sided talks and charming company of their wild friend. Muse B appears, seemingly out of nowhere and sits down on the wooden bench beside a visibly distraught Muse A. Wordlessly, Muse B hands Muse A a small metal trinket, a perfect addition to Muse As collection. Is the gesture enough to reveal the truth about Muse B? The shapeshifter had been their crow companion the entire time. -
