Donna sighed as she sat down at her table. Maybe yelling at Miss. Rivers was an over reaction... But she didn't think it was fair that her actions were getting everyone in trouble. She did her laundry and called her parents. "Hi mom! Are you coming over for Christmas?" She asked. "Well, your brother wants to host a family reunion. Do you want to come?" Her mom asked. Donna agreed to come. She told her parents about her new boss. "She acts all cold and heartless, but everyone has kindness somewhere! Right?" Donna asked. "Some people will try to hide from the world and try to hurt others because they were hurt." Her mother explained. Donna nodded. After chatting for awhile, she hanged up. As Donna got ready for bed, she wondered if Miss. Rivers would even give her Christmas off.
-
Dianna looked down at her phone as she sat still in the car belonging to one of her transfers. Of course, Dianna wasn't driving but, sat in the beat seat instead. She preferred the back seat anyway. Lots of leg room and space just for her and no one else. Dianna sighed as she looked through her contacts the bright screen presented to her. She looked at the time as she entered the log saying, employees and glared at the name. "Donna.." Her voice low and seeming to make the driver drop since he was closest. To his bad time, they were stuck in traffic. The male sighed and Dianna glanced upwards at him. His gaze following elsewhere obvious fear. She chuckled at this, she had power. Dianna cherished.. No, love every minute of being powerful to the weak. Dianna hit the call button and let the phone ring, bringing it to her ear as she awaited the girl to answer.
-
Donna woke up from her nap to hear her phone ring. She read the number and sat up straight quickly. She tapped on it and answered. "Hello Miss Rivers?" She asked, feeling a little curious and a little nervous.
-
"Hello Donna, I thought of what you said earlier," Dianna buffed her cheeks a bit and sighed. "Well, you have no right to speak towards me in such way. Strike One. I hope you know after that incident I'll be taking down that Christmas tree. Yes, your actions was yours alone but, you got everyone into it, correct?" Dianna sighed taking a pause in her speaking, her breathing steady and calm as she listened to the silence on the other line. Clearing her throat, Dianna continued to speak. "After that, I will like to prove to you that this is a serious work place, not Santa's Workshop. We don't make toys or bring joy to young child worldwide. Take it seriously." Dianna stopped her speaking at last, to hear what the girl had to say. A smirk crossed Dianna's lips as she leaned back in the car seat.
-
Better Batman Newbie"Well, I'd think bringing joy to every child in the world would be more important than practicing the same song over again... But if that's how you feel fine. And I understand that you think you're some sort of God, and you're right. I shouldn't talk to you that way. But you can't talk to others that way. Fine. Take down the tree. Take down everyone's happiness if that's what you want. But it won't make you happy. I'm sorry if you expected a helpless plea. But I'm not giving up on finding the good person that you may or may not have." She replied. "So, fine. I'll stop talking to you the way I am now. But if you don't like it when someone talks this way to you, maybe you should consider not talking that way to others." She sighed, hanging up. She got up and walked to the kitchen to make lunch.
-
"Strike Two." The girl hissed and the driver stiffened as he reached their destination. "M-Mrs. Ri-Rivers, w-we arrived." The driver stated as Dianna swiftly existed the car and began heading up the building. Chewing at her bottom lip, Dianna glared at everything. People around her as she walked the halls even stiffened. All Dianna did was take an relaxing warm shower the tense in her body softening as she switched over to her walking clothes. Dianna sighed resting onto her soft comforters. "Tomorrow, just you wait." Dianna said with a smirk. Dianna then stumbled up to her feet.
Dianna walked over to her desktop and sat in her seat. Her desk was soon covered in sheets of melodies, lyrics and anything inspiring her of her new song, Rage. It was to express her feelings of rage and anger she had towards that girl. Showing statuses separate people. The strong-willed from the weak. Dianna smirked as she grew tired looking at the time. Shaking her head she encouraged herself to her somewhere near the half way point. Anywhere near it before crashing to sleep. -
Donna sighed. She decided she would stop yelling at Miss. Rivers. That wouldn't get anywhere. But she could still stand up for herself in a way that made her feel more comfortable. She got to work carving dolls. She managed to make two lovely dolls before bed! She sighed, actually looking forward to the next day.
Donna jumped out of bed and brushed her teeth. She grabbed a bright red dress and neon green jacket from her closet and put them on. The taxi driver stared at her as she jumped in. When they got to the Studio she handed the driver a ten dollar bill and skipped inside. She gave everyone a card to wish them a good day and lift their spirits! Then she got to work cleaning Miss. River's office. -
Dianna continued working throughout half the night before passing just before the sun rose. She was awoken to sudden shaking and groaned upon it. "Leave me, David." Dianna said softly quite relaxed in her chair. Sighing, David took the papers which Dianna was displeased with making her spring up out of her seat. "David!" She yelped reaching out to her papers with whatever she wrote on it. David snickered at her causing the two to smile a bit before, David handed over the papers. "Get ready for work, you should be at the studio to see the arriving employees. Seems like they'll beat you to it." David finished off before walking out of her room. Huffing, Dianna placed her hands on her hips and tapped her foot against the flooring. "Fine.." Dianna muffled before getting herself ready within an hour. Within that hour Dianna had taken an nicely warm shower, gotten dress in an all black dress reaching the mid-length of her thigh and lastly stepping out the door. Dianna sighed, nodding over to David making her way to the awaiting car that was parked outside the building. "S-sorry." Dianna stuttered, clearing out her throat.
She sighed as she made her way up the building to the studio with her eyes glancing at the employees already there. She sighed pinching her chin as she had finally, brought many, many papers all stuffed into a folder. It was a mess with in that folder making Dianna make a 'tch' sound. She walked to her office not bothered to greet the employees but rather more focused on work. As soon as she had appeared in the office space she began working almost immediately. -
Donna decorated Miss. River's desk with Christmas lights and a red tulip in a flower pot. She walked out and was greeted by the doorman. He was dressed a lot nicer than normal. And he had a nervous but confident smile. "Hi Donna! I was wondering if you'd like to spend Friday night with me?" He asked. Donna paused for a moment. "You mean a work meeting?" She asked. "No, I was thinking we could go to dinner, or see a movie." He replied. Donna paused. "Who else is coming?" She asked. "Uh... Just us." He replied. Donna then realized he was asking her out. "Well, I'll have to think about it." She walked to an office to continue her cleaning.
-
Dianna was stretched in a bit of a mood from some coffee or tea. She preferred having her coffee sweet rather than bitter. Though, she was excited for her coffee Dianna dare to smile as she passed an trusted assistant. "Escape me, darling sorry to interrupt but, can you please make me some coffee? The usual?" She asked her eyes showing her pleasure and excitement. "No problem." The girl said with an smile before walking away to make coffee. Spaced in her own thoughts Dianna blindly walked around the office space. None had tried to bother her or at least pull her into reality as the melody of the new song she was writing stuck in her head. Dianna lightly hummed the melody trying to come up with new lyrics, anything that was willing to help her.
-
Donna saw Dianna in a happy state and smiled. She quietly walked in the office and dusted. She checked the callendar. It was now December tenth! She smiled, knowing it was only ten days until going to visit her family for a week! She decided to wait till later to ask Miss. Rivers permission. She walked quietly gave the assistant a Christmas card and walked out to repaint the peeling office door and polish the silver sign. She remembered the doorman's request and had a troubled and thoughtful look on her face as she thought to herself.
-
Dianna had gotten her coffee in just a few moments, sipping onto the sweetness at the corner of her eye she could see Donna at work. "Might as well bug her a bit," Dianna mumbled softly walking up to her main problem. "Hello, Donna." Dianna glanced the area a bit more, most employees at work and she sighed. "Busy since Christmas is around the corner, any plans?" She asked wanting to sweet up the girl just so she can prove her point as superior. Dianna planned to sweeten the girl a bit since it's the holidays which normally made Dianna happy. A tug on the curves of her lips began to form an very, very faint smile as Dianna moved her eyes to be observing the girl.
-
Donna finished up taking the peeling paint off the door. She was happy to see Miss. Rivers in a good mood. "Well, I'm going to have to take a week off of work because I'm going to visit my brother for Christmas." She told Miss. Rivers. "Also on the topic of Christmas, are you wanting a present? I know you aren't fond of cards. But are you okay with presents?" Donna asked. She looked at the door for awhile. It was originally blue. "What shade of blue should I repaint the door?" She asked, remembering the pale, grayish blue it was.

"If you want time off please leave an sheet if paper including the dates you'll be off of work and if you want vacation pay or not since you're good with money, correct? Anywho, on that same note you would have to write down the date you'll be returning." The girl said still watching the worker with eyes filled with curiosity. Then suddenly, shock. A present for the cold and hardworking, Dianna? "Is this some practical joke?" Dianna asked her back straighting and became rather tense. Her frown on her face made the situation obvious. Dianna never had a Christmas present from her workers even when they insist to giving her one, Dianna rejected it. She already had most of the things she wanted. Luxury, money, employees and workers at the tip of her finger, happiness? The list goes on but, it's what she had and everything she could have wanted besides power. You can't put power in a Christmas present now can you? The superior then cleared her throat and sighed. "If you're not joking then, I rather not have a present. Not my style and plus, I got all I needed," the girl paused to having a chuckle escape her throat. "Plus, if you could wrap more power in the entertainment industry than that would be the greatest gift of all." The girl finished her small smile fading.
