Dirge smiled and nodded before he turned and left

(Sorry, I was on the bus.)
"And, why should this impress us?" Her father asked when she gave him the deer. "Our men have hunted a Hundred of these in a week! With the weekends off!" He laughed. "But I can be useful!!!" She yelled. "Honey! You're a princess! You don't have to hunt! You just have to worry about education, and someday raising the next king's children." Her mother told her. "But I don't want to just be a mother! I want to be myself!" She yelled. "I'm a fox. Because that's what fits my personality!" She concluded, walking up the stairs. The king's men did around twenty a day? Well she was going to do fifty a day! Her room was filled with moonlight as she slid out her window, training herself to master being a fox. -
Dirge looked up at the moon and he smiled faintly before he lift his head and let out a long mournful sounding howl

Stella fell from the tree she was climbing when she heard the howl. She lowered to the ground with her ears perked up and listened to the night. Slowly, she lifted her head up and looked around. She couldn't hear anything else, so she went back to training herself.

Dirge flicked his ears and then he started running, his lupine body low to the ground

Stella heard a rustling in the bush and hid behind a rock. Slowing her breathing just like she practiced.

Dirge closed his eyes as he ran, using his other senses to navigate through the forest

Stella saw a pack of Wolves come out of the forest. She knew that wasn't good. "Hey boss! I smell something! I think it's a girl!" One of them reported dumbly. "Knock off that behavior!" A woman's voice that sounded like it was in charge yelled. "Sorry boss..." The immature wolf muttered. "Boss, He's right! I smell something!" Another one replied. "Momma! We smell it too-ooo!" Two children's voices howled. "Come out! Now!" The bos barked.
Stella slowly came out. "This is my territory." She told them, standing tall. "Then why were you hiding?" Teased the immature wolf. "Um..." She muttered. "Oh! You're a human aren't you! One of those humans that can transform? Haven't seen one that's a fox in a while." The boss replied. "A-A HUMAN!?! Boss! We have to get out of here!" The slightly more mature wolf freaked. Stella laughed as the two wolves (who she guessed were also teenagers) ran back in the forest. "I'm sorry for intruding your territory. I better go deal with those numbskulls..." The Boss sighed, taking her children back to the forest. -
Dirge stopped at the edge of a river and he opened his eyes again to look at the water. He sighed softly and then he turned around and started heading back the way he had came

The next day, Stella told Dirge the events of the last day.

Dirge hummed softly as he listened to her

"Do you think my parents are right?" She asked.

He shook his head"no, I don't.

"Good!" She cheered, skipping around. She ran quicker and leaped in the air, turning into a fox as she did so and landing on a rock. "And she lands the landing!!!" She yelped, standing on two legs, perking her ears, and jumping up and down.
