Marie shrugged not exactly remembering much of what today was " no ?"

She took out the calendar and shown that it was January 5th. "School!" Her mother told her, tossing her an outfit.

Marie groaned " do u have to go?" She asked almost begging to stay " I battery school"

"I'm not going, you are! I understand you're half asleep. Why not you eat breakfast before you get dressed?" Her mother laughed kindly, making a lunch.

Marue rolled her eyes shuffling her feet on the floor to the counter getting a bowl of cereal setting the items on the table

"Your friend Emily called. She offered to help you get back n routine for school." Marie' mother told her. Emily was a very nice girl who had a major obsession with the Harry Potter series. She was always trying to make friends with Marie.

Marie looked up " now she calls?" She asked surprised " she hasn't called over break tho " she was slightly glade that she had someone to hangout with anyway

"Her family was in Florida." Marie's mother replied, playing the message. "So sorry I didn't call/visit on Christmas. My family made me leave my phone behind when we went to some stupid resort. Can you believe there were no books! Anyway, I know the last thing that will help your reputation would be hanging out with me... But maybe we can hang out after/before school or something! I also heard-" The tape recorder beeped, signaling her message rang out of time.

Marie stared at the phone and laughed a bit "she loves those books" she said to her mother when she just finished eating." Well ill be back down im gonna change

Soon, the bus pulled in. Emily waved to Marie as she got on.

Marie got on and sat next to her"Hey" she said smiling" oh on the message you left on the voice machine you said You aksi heard something . what did you mean by that?"

(Hi! Sorry, I have to do lots of chores today. I have a few minutes of free time)
"Oh, the machine cut me off? I guess I need to talk about important things before books." Emily laughed. "Anyways, I heard a new kid's coming to our school! His family moved next to my brother's house." Emily announced. Her big brother was 18 and lived across the street of the school. -
"Cool i guess" she said with a smile. "Well thats cool oh tell your brother i said hi for me then "

"Why? You can say hi to him when he starts school." Emily replied/ -
Marie looked at her then shrugged " you know i hate talking to new people" she sighed leaning her head on the window of the bus
