brightfire Newbie"thanks, uncle al." she sighed and sat on a box, which she fell through, and muttered a curse word under her breath. "i prefer bright orange and black, if you don't mind!" she mused. she was still going to earn money for her room, though- mainly for a sortof "rent" for her uncle after hearing how he doesn't get much money. "so, uh.. uncle al? any part time jobs in the town?" she asked.
-
"Well, we have a very popular restaurant here. And lets see... I think Orange would be perfect! But I can't add the black or the kids will pester me about celebrating Halloween early." He laughed. "Would a dark blue and orange combination work?" He asked, examining the room to see which color should go where.
-
brightfire Newbie"yes!" she pointed to the green-gray walls. "THIS will be orange," she pointed to the once white crowning, "and THIS will be dark blue! perfect! but i'll pay for it. i can earn enough money!" she replied. she usually won agreements like this- if someone didn't have enough money for something for her, she would get the money herself. she grabbed her leather coat and ran down the stairs to her mom. "hey, mom, i'm going to see if i can apply for that restaurant!" without waiting, she bolted out the door, hopped on her orange bike, and sped off.
(perhaps they meet at the restaurant?
and let me just say this- your fun to roleplay with. i personally like your rp style!)) -
"I have the paint already. I got a can of each color just in case! So I can repaint those stairs too!" He laughed. But she was already out the door. "Well... At least she's not bummed about moving anymore!" Molly laughed, unpacking Lindsay's stuff and two air mattresses. The moving truck would be there the next day, so they would have to sleep on those.
(I think the school's better for them to meet. Thanks!) -
brightfire Newbieok! and no problem ^^))
lori parked her bike, tied it to a tree with a lock, and made her way into the resturaunt. a hostess greeted her, "hello, ma'am! how many?" she mused, about to grab the menus. "uh, actually.. i was looking to get the part time job as a waitress here! i need some money, y'know?" she chuckled at her joke, which truly was made at her. most people thought teenagers adored money, and it was true, but she really just needed it to buy more posters, snacks, movies.. and for helping her mom and sister settle in. -
"That's okay! We do have a few jobs available. The janitor position is always open!" She laughed. "I'm Kiara by the way! Interviews are in that office if you'd like to apply for a job!" She directed.
-
brightfire Newbie"thanks! see you at work- maybe!" she laughed at her joke and strutted into the office. she had left her jacket in her bike bag so she didn't seem like some gangster kid. she sat down and waited patiently in the lavish-yet small- room.
-
"Hello! I'm Mr. Tenal! Are you here for a job?" The man asked, putting down his video game. "Twenty First Century! Who needs books!" He laughed when his boss glared at him.
-
brightfire Newbie"yes sir! i'm new here- im living with my uncle albert, you might know him- and i was wondering if i could apply for a waitress." when he asked her questions she patiently answered them.
-
"Okay. We do have a spot for a waitress open. Here's your uniform, your schedule, and the rest of the space is filled with hope you don't drop out of college like me!" He joked. "Yes, I ended up an Assistant Manager... But still." He laughed, handing her the box.
-
brightfire Newbie"ok, thanks!" she took the box and attached it to her bike, riding home. she burst through the door and ran upstairs, flopping on her air matress as she looked at the uniform- black jeans, a white apron, and a black t-shirt. "fair enough." she mused to herself as she checked her schedule. "after school fridays, saturdays and sundays.. hours are 3 hours.. so that means i can still watch tv and do homework!" she cheered.
-
"So did you meet Mr. Tenal? He likes making jokes that he claims are so funny the are Lethal. I just think they're lamel as a camel!" Uncle Albert laughed.
-
brightfire Newbieyou know him?" lori asked. she had guessed it, though. "uh, anyways, hows my room going?" she was on the living room couch now that she had been ushered out by uncle al so he could paint. "so.. OH, SWEET! the pays 50 dollars for each session! i can buy a new bed in no time!" she mused excitedly.
-
"Your bed's coming from the moving truck sweety." Molly replied. "50 dollars an hour! Are you a janitor or something?" Asked Albert. "And Johnny Tenal is my best friend from College. He dropped out to try and become a comedian, but got married to Sally Talley instead. They had three kids and now he works with his big brother at the restaurant." Albert explained.
-
brightfire Newbie"i meant to re-decorate it AND my new room!" lori groaned. "plus, lindsay burnt my bed badly with those matches; do you really think i want charcoal for a bed?" she complained.
