Jasper pressed his lips together and listened for the attendance to start. He wiped his hands down on his pants and relaxed. Everything would be okay. No absolute way that was the Jameson he knew. Why would that guy even be here? Jasper had to be seeing things. He studied the male's figure and tried to find no connection. Gears had been turning in his head since he walked in.
The coach started saying the attendance. Nobody really said 'Here'. So, the coach just quietly said names and looked up to find them, without them speaking to her. She remembered most of their faces from try outs. She also began partnering people up with everyone. Jasper's mouth curved into a sly smirk and he waited for her to continue.
"Jameson-." She muttered, but got cut off by Jasper. Her eyes shot up from the clipboard and she glared at Jasper.
"I'll be his partner!" Jasper pulled on the most fake smile he could and yelled from the back of the room. He knew it. He knew that this was the kid from the competition. He was going to destroy this boy. This was war now.
"That's Jasper Finn, with two Ns, not one." He continued, because The coach just kinda gawked at him and it made him annoyed. The coach made a frustrated sigh and erased something. She probably already partnered the boys with someone else.
Jasper waved and faked a grin at the boy. Jasper began thinking and tapping his foot more. Yeah, he hated partners. However, he was not giving up an opportunity to destroy the male that destroyed him. The Coach skipped over Jasper's name in Attendance, because she already knew he was there from his blurting out. Jasper thought this was hilarious. It was fate. His fate. His luck. -
Jamie stood there waiting, for what he wasn't quite sure, he listened to the coach, he listened to her talk and mutter to herself which made him chuckle slightly. When he heard his name he cringed slightly, he hated his full name, which is why he always introduced himself as Jamie. He jumped slightly hearing the man speak, why would he just offer like that, which unsettled him.
He noticed how irritated the coach looked which made him chuckle slightly. He looked back where the boy was, he paused a moment and then smiled, he ran a hand through his hair taking it out of his face and winked at him with a smile. He looked back ahead of him, he hummed slightly. As the smile disappeared and he bit his lip.
He shook his head slightly and looked at the ground, he rolled his shoulders back, a smile tugged at his lips, he but it harder trying not to let it show. He knew him, or he thought he did, from where he couldn't tell anyone but he knew it in his bones. He could just tell.
His leg shook slightly and he bounced his leg, the smile threatening to show on his face. He felt a challenge brewing, he was getting excited, his was the kind of challenge he hadn't felt in a while, it was the kind he loved. He could feel his excitement growing along with his competitiveness spiking to a nice level he hadn't felt in the past few year, this was a nice start back. He liked this.
This was good, scratch that, great.
He was really ready for this.
...He was ready to get started. -

Competition. Jasper could live with that. No, He did live for that. It was a problem that competition wasn't hard to be won, when compared to the others in this group. So, having a good competition was delicious, especially on the first day. He could use this to his advantage.
It did not take long for attendance to be called. "This year, I would like to work in teams and work on your ability to put faith in each other together. We always work individually, unless we're doing stretches. However, flexibility and skill will get us 3rd place, if our team hates each other. Pairing will teach you teamwork and passion for the dances. The real work will start tomorrow. Today, I would like for you to practice stretches and learn about your partner. Take notes on your partner's weaknesses and skills," The coach stated. Pairing all the time? That made Jasper pout. "You may get to work. We'll start our usual stretches in a few. Be ready." The coach pressed her lips together and blossomed a smile. Jasper couldn't tell if she was serious or messing with them.
Jasper's eyes glared over at his partner. He wasn't the type to actually make many friends. Why make friends with anyone from this dance studio? It was pointless. He could stay professional enough to look happy, during the dances and competition. His expression stayed stoic, covering his mild frustration. This was fine, He told himself. He could do this. Jasper bit his lip and played with his fingers for a second. He blew out a frustrated sigh and walked over to meet his partner. -

Sorry its short.))
Jamie let out a small breath, huffing slightly. He let his hair fall in front of his face, he was pretty use to working with people but not to the extent that this was implying, he was curious to why this was the case, many dance teams didn't have an overly co-operative teams and were fine in competition. All though he didn't mind, he was just wasn't overly ecstatic about the idea of working with this person. He glanced over at the man beside him and tried to run his face through his mind quickly to try to remember if he knew him, correction, he knew he knew him from somewhere but he couldn't think where.
He looked over at him in a more in a blunt manor, he kissed his teeth in a slow drawn out fashion. He crossed his arms, he blew the hair out of his face with a large breath, "Ready to get started?" He asked with a smile, looking up at the male. "Lets get started then." He said not giving him time to answer, "What would you like to start with?" He asked, with a hum.
