Since they first roamed the Earth, humans have had at least 12 hidden genes, traits unknown. In 2008, scientists experimented on 4 people, trying to tap into these genes. All but one gene failed to show up. They named it the "S-Gene". After many trial, they discovered that the S-Gene had the ability to unlock extraordinary abilities in people. While trying to grow and duplicate the gene, the lab mysteriously blew up. Unfortunately, where the scientists were storing the gene, happened to be next to a particle accelerator, and the particles in the S-Gene went airborne, and many people were affected by it.
In 2014, some people were using their abilities for whatever they wanted, which led to the Segregation.
Now in 2024, living in a darker part of the world with stranger people, a group of friends tries to stop the crime happening around them. While stopping a break in, one finds a document, and what is in it is frightening, and they want answers. And those answers date back to millions of years ago.
