August quickly changed into a sports bra and faded blue tee, and plaid shorts before answering the door. "Hey, sorry about tonight. Uh, come in," She said, stepping back. "Just don't be too loud. I think my dad's already asleep. Don't worry, he'll understand once I explain to him why your here. Also you're bed room is across mine, and the bathroom is right next to mine."

"Alright, thank you. I really appreciate it." He said to August. "Uhh im gonna go to bed its been a long day." he said 'Yeah right sleep' he said to himself in his mind. He walked to the room, and opened his bag to look at all the books, and photo albums. He started be reading the first eight pages of the oddesy, his dads favorite book, then reading the first eight pages in ferdinad the bull, his sisters favorite book, Then the first eight pages of the Iliad, his moms favorite book. Why eight pages, that was the number of days until he was adopted.

August got ready for bed, like usual. She brushed her teeth, flossed, brushed her hair, and soon went to lay in bed. She spent a while on her phone, mostly on tumblr.

August woke up the next morning, feeling groggy and tired. "Ugh.." She mumbled, rubbing her eyes. "Good morning, August. I hope you have a good reason as to why there is a boy in my house." August blinked and looked across her room to find her father sitting by the window. "Daddy, please calm down. It's Brewer's son. Can't you tell by his scent?" He shook his head. "Not really. Now answer why there's a boy here." August rolled her eyes and sat up. "Have you watched the news lately? Brewer... He killed his family. His adoptive one. And I don't think he has anywhere else to go. He trusts me because I know what he is and the situation he's in now." He was silent for a moment. "All right then. I hope you know how dangerous this is. I'll be dusting out house with the 'powder', okay? So it'll cover our scents." August nodded.

Alex woke up feeling energized like nothing in the world could stop him, but I guess thats a phase. He almost forgot his family was dead. He got dressed and waited to here someone walk around. While waiting he looked at the yearbook. He noticed something. The janitor. Then he heard Augusts dad and August talking. He walked to the door and knocked on it. "We need to talk." he said

August's dad gave Alex a nod before leaving the room. "What is it?" She asked watching him.

"We should watch who we trust. The sheriff last night smelled all to familiar, what if Brewer started a pack?" he asked. "I looked at photos of everyone in town. That I think are part of the pack. Now you can go to school, but I have to see if im correct. Preety much the pack consists of high ranking officals. The sheriff, the mayor, the lead doctor, but one sticks out. The janitor. Now I have to go see if im correct." He walked out of her room to downstairs.

She listened to him, and nodded in agreement before he left. "Wait, Alex." She kicked her sheets back, and got out of bed to follow him downstairs. "You don't plan on going anywhere, right? If you do, you can't go alone."

"Im going in a little while. Not right now. Its still just a theory." He told her. "If you wanna go get dressed and eat." he said

She nodded in agreement. "Your theory does sound likely. I don't doubt it, but we should make sure. And don't mention any of this to my dad, okay? He wouldn't let you leave the house knowing what your going to do." August yawned. "But sure. I'm having lucky charms. Want some?" She chuckled, offering.

"Umm sure, Ill have a bowl of lucky charms Just gotta make sure it is not posion." He said laughing jokingly. He sat down at the table after getting his bowl.

"Hmm," She said grabbing the box from the pantry. "I don't know, Alex it might be." She said wiggling her eyebrows at him. She laughed and grabbed the milk to pour it in her bowl. Then she poured the cereal. She handed him the contents when she was done. "Would you like to see cartoons? I think the old Teen titans is on and possibly spongebob." She suggested.

"Old teen titans for sure. The other ones are horrible to watch." he laughed. He grabbed the box and the milk and poured himself a bowl. He got spoons for August and him. He gave her the spoon. He put away the food and staryed eating.

"Teen titans it is." She said getting up to get the remote. She turned on the TV and sat down to start eating. "I usually keep it on cartoon network." She confessed, chuckling.
