Ai gave a soft sigh as he waited for his father to arrive in the kitchen. The news of the ryouka investigation had everyone on edge. Ai however wanted to find out one thing. The ryouka that stole Ai's friend Rukia's power ....was it really him? The boy who he had loved. The boy who'd promised to protect him. The boy who called him a liar. The boy who let him die. The boy who laughed at his reported suicide. If it was Ai knew he woukd be conflicted, spiting the boy who'd stolen his last happiness or saving his friend. In the end however Ai knew he was only his father's pawn and would follow his orders even if it cost him his life.

Ai decided once more to try and save Rukia. " Father, surely you could use the non lethal way of removing the Hoygoku?" He asked softly. " Rukia-chan is a good person"

" Rukia I promise you, you're going to get or of this alive" he said softly " I can't intervene directly" he said " We both know that if I even tried to get you out a captain will most likely stop me. They've been monitoring you closely and even with my stealth" he told her taking her hand " The Ryokua he's alive Rukia." He said softly " I need to know his name"
