Hollyfrost gulped down the meat. She was hungry. -
Yarrowfeather shoved a mouse into her mouth.

Hollyfrost stretched, bored for lack of things to do.

Suddenly, Yarrowfeather heard a horrified yowl. "Foxes! A group of them! In camp!" Yarrowfeather sprang into action, shoving the helpless kits and queens into their den. She turned back around, and clawed a fox's muzzle.

Hollyfrost leaped onto the back of a fox. Spitting and hissing, she clawed along it's back. How dare it! A fox clawed her leg, but she didn't notice. Her blood mingled with the fox blood that sprayed onto her fur. Her vision was tinged with red as she lashed out again and again. You will never hurt my Clan!

Birchwillow jumped in front of the doc before it could land it's killing-blow on Yarrowfeather.
It went by slowly, more then a blur.
Nightface yowled in grief at Birchwillow. Yarrowfeather sheathed her claws and kicked the fox's throat, sending it bounding away. Nightface ran over to Borchwillow, sobbing. Yarrowfeather started crying. -
Hollyfrost circled them, growling at the foxes if they dared come close. These are my Clanmates, scum!

Yarrowfeather closed her eyes.
"Fight for your Clan!" She heard a faint whisper of Birchwillow. Yarrowfeather opened her eyes, and with all her strength, sent the foxes running. She looked over at Hollyfrost, content. -
"They're gone!" Hollyfrost panted. She licked the blood of her paws. Yuck. Fox blood. Sbe thought, her tongue curling at the sour taste.

Yarrowfeather looked at her paws in grief.

Hollyfrost paused, looking at Yarrowfeather. She nodded to Birchwillow. "Is..dead?" she asked. A Clanmate dead?

Night face hissed, "Of course she is!!"
Yarrowfeather sighed and nodded to Hollyfrost. -
Hollyfrost felt sick. Why could I do anything? She hung her head.

Yarrowfeather put her paw on her mentor's shoulder. "It's okay, she saved me. She died in honor."
