Alexandra jumped slightly but covered it like she was coughing. "Hi," she said, laughing. She walked towards the food and grabbed a burger bun to start off.

Bella slipped the knife across her finger, still making a pale mark but not making it bleed. She wasn't suicidal, that's for sure, but she closed her eyes anyway. She drapped the knife on top of her belly.
