  Lorica threw the stick into the flames, then walked over, glancing at the page Sollux referred to.
  "Hmm, I guess you're right. Still, I would rather run into a cat demon. At least then maybe I could distract it with some yarn or something." She smiled at her dumb joke.

  Sollux gave a light laugh and closed the book, smiling. "Thanks, Lorica. I know you're kind of stuck with me and that I can be a downer, but I appreciate that you at least treat me like a friend." He said, leaning in for a hug.

  Lorica hugged him back, tilting her head slightly.
  "We're in this together, Sollux. Don't forget that! It'd be a long trip if I treated you like an enemy." She joked.

  Sollux nodded and laid down on the grass, pulling a blanket out of his bag and laying it on himself. "Right. In it together. Goodnight, Lorica. I'll see you in the morning" He said, smiling.

  Lorica smiled brightly, nodding, before going back to her spots close to the fire, wrapping her cloak around herself.
  "See you in the morning, Sollux." She yawned.

  With that, Sollux hid his head under his blanket for extra warmth before going to bed.

  Sollux woke up screaming for 2 seconds before he came to his senses. Just another dream. You'd think that he'd be used to it by now, but apparently not. A few tears were shed before he wiped them away with his sleeve and got off the ground, looking up at the sky. It was just early enough to see the sun rise and the sky glow a ripe orange. The birds chirped happily and the sky was free from clouds. It was a good morning, despite waking up screaming.
