He smirked and them her started walking down the path, looking around slowly. "I don't think worms have eyes.
-
DM Roarkvil Newbie"These... These aren't worms... Worms are brown... These things are white and have a head... I just can't remember what they're called..." Said Roarik, once more using his ball of light to bright light to their path.
It had been about 18 minutes of nonstop walking ever since they left that square room, and nothing much had happened. Just the occasional empty jail cell here and there. Roarik was about to say something before a sound other than footsteps was heard from a distance... "Hey, do you hear that...? It sounds like some sort of gushing sound... Like something fat is slithering down here..." -
He frowned slightly "well they sound a bit odd" he said after a moment. He then stopped when Roarik spoke, closing his eyes to listen before he frowned and looked at the way behind them "I think something very large is eather following us or is somewhere ahead of us. I can't tell which though with how it's echoing" he said softly
-
DM Roarkvil NewbieSuddenly Roarik covered Archaios's mouth and moved him and himself to one side of the wall whilst shrinking his light. On the other side of the wall, some stone bricks crumbled out of the wall and revealed a massive white creature on the other side. It's body shrank and grew with each squishy step it took. Or slide, since it had no legs. Roarik whispered to himself. "A grub..." He had finally remembered what the bloated insects were called. Except this one was the width and height of a train. (excuse the fact that trains hadn't been invented at the time and just remember that the train is being used for size comparison purposes only)
-
Archaios's eyes went wide in surprise and then he held his breath, wisely staying silent. That think was huge and he was pretty sure that it could kill them both if it wanted
-
DM Roarkvil NewbieThe both stayed there for 2 minutes before the sound of the mega grub was no longer hearable. Roarik took his hand off Archaios's mouth and stood up, making his ball of light as bright as before. "That. That's one f---ing big grub."
-
Archaios dusted him of, noding in agreement "I thibked that's an understatement
-
DM Roarkvil NewbieRoarik chuckled and looked around. "We need to find a weapon fast. If that thing comes around again, we might not be so fortunate..." He made sure nothing else was coming their way and peered on the other side of the wall that the grub was on. "I think... I think there's a room on the other side! If we can break the rest of this wall down, we might find a means of defending ourselves."
-
He grimiced "yeah, becoming food for that thing doesn't sound very pleasant" he said. He blinked and then walked over to him. He frowned and he started checking for weak spots where they could break threw
-
DM Roarkvil Newbie(Tell me, are you enjoying this?)
Roarik grabbed a fallen brick and started beating against random parts of the broken wall in hopes of possibly getting lucky and breaking a hole in the wall, but he wasn't having much luck. -
Yeah)
Archaios winced as the sound of the brick hitting the wall and then he picked up a brick, picking a spot that looked weaker then the rest before he started hitting it -
DM Roarkvil NewbieRoarik noticed Archaios hitting one specific spot and walked over to him, observing. "I wonder..." Roarik firmly gripped his stone and whacked it against a spot next to the spot Archaios was hitting. As it struck the wall, a chip of slightly broken rock cracked and fell off. "I see... If we keep going at this full force, this old and corroded stone should break down!"
-
Archaios noticed him coming over and he moved to the side so Roarik could get at the spot. He grinned when he saw some rock fall off and then he nodded at his words
-
DM Roarkvil NewbieIt took around 20 minutes of constant hitting the wall before Roarik was exhausted. The wall had been breaking piece by piece, but nothing major. "Huff... It's not budging. Constant small hits won't do much. We need to make one large swing at the same time." He said, dropping his stone onto the ground and stretching his fingers.
-
Archaios panted slightly and he sat down with a nod "maybe we could hit it at the same time?" He said tiredly
