Al thought for a moment and said "I think a saw a little girl run past me, towards the lake and turn left. If you hurry you can catch her. Is she your daughter or something?"

"She's our niece!" Aunt Bonnie said. "We're sorry, we need to go and find her!" Uncle Phil said before running off towards the lake. Audrey heard running the it came distinct.

Al watched the couple walk to the lake out of sight. He walked back to the hole, opened the door and said to the girl "Okay, you can come out now. They're gone."

Audrey exited the hole and looked around. "Thank you so much." she said. "May I stay for a night?" she asked. "I don't want to go out there at night and get caught!" she said. She looked towards the lake and saw no one that way.

Al said "Okay, follow me." He grabbed his fishing pole and cooler and walked with the girl. He asked "What's your name, kid?"

"Audrey. You are?" she asked. She followed him, slowly walking then running to catch up. "Can you slow down Mister? I'm really slow." she complained.

Al slowed down a little and said " Sorry, sometimes I'm too fast for my own good. My name is Albert. Just call me Al."

"It's okay," Audrey said, "It's very nice to meet you Alb...Al!". She walked steady to his pace. "Where are we going?" she asked.

Al said "To a little place I know of." They walked for a while until they came a across a small shack. Al knocked on the door and another man about his age answered. He said "Hey Al. Catch some fish today?" Al said "That's not all I got Sam." He showed him Audrey.

Audrey looked at the man, known as Sam. "H-Hi." she said shyly. "She looked passed the man and saw a few other people. She hid behind Al.

Al said "Don't worry these guys won't hurt you." He brought Audrey inside and said "Hello everybody." They all said "Hello Al." He said to Audrey "This is Fred, Dianne, Jerry and my girlfriend, Bonnie. Of course, you've already met Sam."

"Hi." Audrey said. She looked at them then at Bonnie. "You have the same name as my aunt!" Audrey said. "Do you live here?" she asked all of them.

Sam said "Yes." Al said "We all met in college and decided to become like hippies sort of. I mean we don't do everything a hippie does but it's sort of a relaxed lifestyle."

Audrey nodded. "so what do you guys do? You don't have jobs?" she asked. She sat down, "Are you sure it's safe here?" She asked after.

Fred said "To answer all your questions, what we do is just hang around and do nothing. No, none of us have jobs because we don't need them, we hunt and fish for our food. And yes it's perfectly safe here." Al said "Those two people who said they were your aunt and uncle, why where you running from them?"
