Name: Bentley Jacobson
Age: 16, nearly 17
Appearance: ignore alcohol bottle, eyes would be blue, and glasses a little smaller
Bad effect Life events: Bentley grew up normal except for a few tragedies and an accident. When he was 6, his favorite family member outside of his parents passed on (his great grandfather, because he always bought him duck themed products, one of Bentleys favorite animals). When he was 10, his dog, Chanter, a Husky, passed away due to natural causes. Throughout the next few years, he witnessed his father battle with drug addiction until he finally died of a drug overdose when Bentley was fifteen. This sent his mother into a depression. She still tries to be happy for her son, but he sees her pain as much as she attempts to hide it.
Good effect Life events: He born around the same time that the family adopted their husky. He grew up with Chanter and the dog was always there for the boy. In elementary school, he received various awards for being an exceptional student and for his various talents. He keeps all of his awards in a drawer that he has in order to remember all of the good times. He keeps different souvenirs and items inside of this drawer, such as a picture of his dad and a few rubber ducks from his great grandfather. He never speaks of these items because he doesnt want to have a chance of losing them. He holds these certain things dear and losing them would devastate him.
Personality: Bentley is a boy that usually goes with the flow of events, even if he doesnt exactly agree with what is going on. He does not have much of a voice, not speaking much in school. In school, he tends to become very overwhelmed and can be prone heart pounds, eyes tearing slightly, tapping, and possible shaking. He is very punctual and always completes his assignments and tasks ready on time. Though he can play soccer fairly well, he has never attempted to try out for the school team or any team, really. This is due to the idea he will fail when he tries. He is always worrying for his mother, tending to take care of meals and picking out her clothes for the day. He is helpful and reliable but is a very nervous person.
On his magic: Bentley is capable of performing magic having to do with the elements, moving objects, sensing emotions, and can somewhat help heal. He is still learning but he has to teach himself based off of he very little information he is capable of finding. He tries very hard to conceal it but finds it hard to. He doesn't want aanybody knowing but would probably show it to the right person.
Family bio: basically, dad died of a drug overdose and mom is a wreck without him. Bentley cares for her while trying to take care of his nervous self. Hard to do as she is stubborn and always tries to keep him from helping. -
ah f--- I thought you meant you were fine without a character sheet
is it okay that I didn't do that?
Here I'll add what I didn't put
Sex: male
Sexual orientation: gay
Clothing: tends to wear comfortable clothing, mean sweatpants and semi loose fiitng pants. Tee shirts and sweatshirts are included in this mix. Vans are his choice shoe and he wears black framed glasses as his vision is very poor.
Likes: nature, quiet, lakes, animals, music, instruments, nice people, reading, writing, practicing magic
Dislikss: bullies, loud noises, hectic situations, thunderstorms
Special abilities were covered in magic I suppose? -
and ignore the ear pieces
Bentley does not have his ears pierced -

Name: Pacer James King
Age: 16
Sex: Gender
Sexual Orientation: Gay
Appearance:
Personality: Very stubborn, introverted beyond anything, prefers to keep to himself, always second guessing himself, indecisive like hell, prefers to not indulge in the high school drama surrounding him, doesn't enjoy asking for help, nor accepting help from others. Very caring once you peal back all the layers. Enjoys other's company, but it tends to be a rarity with Pacer.
Likes: Spicy food. Being alone, and or not being alone. (indecisiveness kicking in :P) the color opal, usually curling up with his favorite book. Enjoys experiencing new things, but very difficult to have him leave the house.
Dislikes: Being surrounded by people, closed spaces, being in the spotlight, pressured, pried.
Other: Eh it'll be shown throughout the soap. -

The air smelled of the cheap, unimpressive perfume the girls in the 100 hallway always seemed to be equipped with. Bentley swallowed heavily, rolling his eyes and walking past the gaggling group of blondes and brunettes, heading to his locker in the hallway over. His footsteps made nearly no noise, his pace quick and effective in leading him to the blue painted locker he called his own. After glancing around to be positive nobody would be around to witness his next action, his eyes zeroed in on the door. Within second, the locker door flew open and he gave a satisfying smile. The boy sifted through the papers and books that were beginning to pile up at such a rate the teenager knew he would have to clean it out sooner than later. He yanked his AP Spanish textbook from the top rack as well as a packet that appeared to be a web quest for Honors Chemistry. He flipped through it to make sure it was completed.
When he was finished retrieving his necessary belongings, he closed the locker door with his hand. He placed the book and web quest in his backpack, securely zipping it. It was twenty five minutes before first bell for homeroom. Most people didn't arrive until about ten minutes were left, so Bentley estimated he had a decent fifteen to twenty minutes to relax peacefully in the place he assumed no one else was aware of. His feet led him to this area, a cozy little corner in the back E Hallway. It was home to all lf the projects from the art students, from water colors paintings to drawings utilizing pastel wax crayons. He grinned upon noticed a few sketches of pandas, giraffes, and gorillas. There must have been a manadatory assignment for there to be so many of the same animal. He settled himself by a window in the back of the hallway, staring out at the grass and grey-blue morning sky.
From where he was, he focused entirely on a flower that didn't appear to be growing as quickly as the others. He frowned, coming to the conclusion that it would be one lonely violet if he didn't aid it a little. With the amount of power he knew he would need, he stared at the flower, squinting when he needed more concentration. Within a few moments, the flower grew to the same height as the others, but no more than that. He smiled gratefully at his magic for allowing him to help the plants. He leaned his back against the wall, his backpack at his side and his legs stretched out in front of him. He grinned up at the ceiling. -
I fell asleep :P
I like your writing style by the way,
Pacer entered the building, multiple aromas filled his sinuses, one fighting the other for dominance. While inspecting his surroundings, he noticed different cliques, which were obvious to point out to anyone. He wandered throughout the main hallway, examining the varied colored signs which are hanged at the beginning of each hallway. He pulled his blue bag off of his back, fumbling for the zipper, once he finally opened the navy blue bag, he shoveled throughout the numerous papers occupying the space in the bottom of his bag. After finally coming to the conclusion his schedule is long gone, he made his way towards the main office doors.
After the struggle of pulling the door instead of pushing, he strolled up to the receptionist. "I...uh....lost my schedule. M-My name is Pacer King. T-The new student from V-Virginia." Pacer's attempt to mask stutter wasn't going as well as he had hoped.
His stutter improved way beyond what the doctor's thought previously. Times the majority of people wouldn't even think he had a stutter, only the very few who know if his past. Likewise, his only struggle with holding back his stutter, was the rare occasions when he was either scared, or nervous. This is one of these occasions.
The plump lady with peppered black and grey hair stared up at him with beady eyes, through her small spectacles. "King?" Her voice was a croak, as if nails were scraping against a chalk board. Pacer nodded frantically. She stood, her violet dress swaying around her, turning around she made her way in the direction of what is appears some late model of a Dell computer.
Pacer fiddled with his thumbs, forcing off the habit to start chewing on his thumb nail. He heard fingers tapping against the keyboard, minutes later there was beeping. He didn't bother looking up to see if the receptionist printed off his schedule. He pulled at a hangnail on his right hand, an act that sent sparks of pain through his veins, but he continued. It was a constant bother, and Pacer just felt the need to rid himself of the stray part of his nail.
The woman cleared her throat, looking up Pacer recognizes a piece of white paper in her right hand. "This is your schedule. Do not lose it." The emphasis on 'not' was dully noted. -
hey I don't mind xDD we all do it
And the same to you! :D
The individual eventually grew uninterested with giving assistance to plants that would never be capable of speaking with him and thanking him. He pulled off his glasses, using his shirt to wipe the lenses free of any dust and particles that had taken the liberty of sticking to them. He squinted as he did so, desperately trying to see so as to be sure no one would be around to mess with him while he was at his weakest, blindest point. When he completed this task, he shoved his spectacles back onto his face, grabbing at his backpack and unzipping the front pocket. In a small pocket inside of this compartment, he pulled a Polaroid photo. A man in a blue hoodie, sweatpants, and sneakers stated back at him with the same ocean blue eyes as his own. The man's wispy, curly raven hair sat atop of his head in mess that required a comb through. He held the photo to his chest.
From there, he took a small, leather journal from his backpack, opening it to where a silk ribbon bookmark held the spot in which he had scribbled in red ink last. He took his red pen from his backpack, beginning to write another entry to his father. This was something he'd been doing to cope with the pestering upset that originated from the death of his father. He'd been discovering that it helped him feel better about not being permitted to sat a proper goodbye. Since discovering the powers he had hidden within him, he'd been attempting to find a spell or ritual that would allow him to speak with or see his father. This, he knew, was a dangerous, tricky topic in the realm of
magic and the stories surrounding it. The fine line between white and black magic prevented him from desiring to learn new spells. He feared that somehow, he would manage to upset the spirits of balance.
Doing so typically resulted in consequences that could range from them revoking the privilege of supernatural abilities. This was something he did not want to occur. He wanted to remain in the state in which he could help all those around him with his secret power. He bit down anxiously on his lip as he wrote. Eventually, he found that his entry was coming to an end. He coughed, holding back whatever waterworks were fighting to spill over. His eyes flicked over the words he'd printed onto the fading page, his teeth and lips peeling into a kind, fond smile.
Dear Dad,
It's November 1st and I think you know why I like that date so much. Remember the first time we ever went to the aquarium and we won the prize of walking with the stingrays? Remember how scared you were when we got into the wading pool, the little this flittering my our feet? Remember how I said they were like the butterflies of the ocean? I hope, wherever you are, you are thinking of me and you know how much I miss you. I find a memory to think of you everyday. Even if everybody else did, Mom and I will never ever forget you and the effect you had in everyone around you. November 1st, Dad. I THINK I've made it pretty far without bawling my eyes out. I hope you're proud of me wherever you are.
Love, Bentley
He closed the journal, coming to a stand and collecting his belongings. He assumed it would be a good time to begin to slow venture to his homeroom. He'd had enough of his alone time for the time being. His footsteps began to lead him down the E hallway, his face soft and his mind quiet.
