Name: Eleanor Penaluna
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Occupation: Alchemist. However, she usually says that she's an herbalist to avoid suspicion of being a witch.
Abilities: Eleanor is skilled in alchemy, a branch of knowledge that allows the user to manipulate any material to their most basic form, allowing either complete destruction or re-creation of anything. This is obtained by a unique process referred as "memory combustion". It takes the user's memories, or the memories of an item that's special to the user, converting them into energy to fuel alchemic spells, rituals and techniques. These include basic elemental manipulation and minor homunculus creation. However, homunculus creation can be done without using up memories, but only if the user has the proper materials on hand. Due to the strain of memory combustion, using a lot of alchemy at once can cause extreme fatigue in the best-case scenario. In the worst-case scenario, it can cause major temporary or possibly permanent physical or mental problems.
Looks:
Backstory: When she was younger, she was accused of being a witch when someone saw her using alchemy. Luckily for her, a woman convinced the witness that Eleanor hadn't been using magic before the rumor spread. Eleanor was grateful, offering the woman her herbal remedies when she needed them. However, a few weeks later the woman was burned at the stake after being declared a witch. After that event, Eleanor decided to keep an eye out for witches, and to assist them when necessary.
Other: She knows very basic herbalism, which is how she manages to act as an herbalist.
(Is this alright? I'm not sure if she's too overpowered... I can tone it down if she is. Do you need me to add anything?) -
I keep forgetting to work on my character. I'll try to work on them later, and have them up soon.
And yeah. That seems alright there. I don't think you need anything else or something.) -
(It's fine, no rush. :3
Alright, good to know. Thanks.) -
I just based the CS I used off of yours. Too lazy to think for myself. Just say if I should change it, and I will. Hope this is good though. My attention is more focused on Volbeat at the moment. XD)
Name: Claire Maxwell
Age: 17
Gender: Female.
Occupation: Tailor. She make clothes and such in a shop owned by her parents.
Abilities: She isn't very proficient in the use of magick, but she does know a few simple things. Such as some simple healing spells, and a few others. She is capable, with focus, to maintain a small fire in the palm of her hand. But not much else. If she is around a certain element she is a bit better with it for she does not have to create it herself. Ex:Around fire-she had been able to maintain it a bit better and its a bit larger than usual. Around water-her healing spells and such are better and a bit more effective. She's bit a master or anything though, and sometimes she may hurt herself, burn herself, and such.
Looks:
Bio: When she was young her parents opened a shop in the town and were all tailors in a way. Her parents wanted her to be one as well, and ever since she was 10 she had helped around the shop make some, and repair. She never really wanted to be one or anything, but did it still.
A year ago, when she was sixteen, she was out wandering in the woods as usual for her and came across a man-a mage. He was the one who taught her what she knows, mostly to help her in case help otherwise was far away. Though, One day, he had just up and disappeared. So she hasn't mastered anything well.
In an attempt to better herself, she tried using what she was taught and everything-but that was when she was caught and seen by some of the locals. And that is what led to her being scheduled for execution-to die, in a few days. -
It looks good~
And don't worry, I do the same thing when I'm lazy. XD I copy and pasted the majority of the abilities section for Eleanor. XD
Oh, and not it~) -
Okay. Good.
I noticed that, I think XD
I'll start tomorrow then. I'm too sleepy right now and if I do sleep soon, when I wake I'm going back to the game more than likely XD) -
Is this good?)
It had been only a couple days since the man had seen her practicing some of the magick she had learned to use from the old man nearly a year ago. Not even a master or anything, she had made sure to not practice anywhere near the village. Both so she would not likely be seen, and to make sure she didn't accidentally burn the village down. Though, now, it seems she wasn't careful enough and was spotted. And what was her punishment? Death. Surely her parents were furious when the news of what she was caught doing got to them. She always wanted a way out of doing what she did in the shop, though this is not what she had in mind.
A light ray of aunahinw poured through the small opening in the wall signaling the new day. Which would also become her last day alive. She had spent the night wishing for a miracle, but what could even happen to help her now? They wouldn't just drop and stop what they were doing. No. And if she had an opportunity to run it wouldn't help. She wasn't the fastest on her feet, and when she did try to run fast she usually ended up face-first in the ground. -

(That's good~ Sorry for taking so long. I was busy yesterday.)
Eleanor handed a man a small container of cream as she spoke to him. "So, the latest witch is to be burned tomorrow, yes?"
The man frowned as he took the medicine. "Tomorrow at noon. The wretched witch will pay for dabbling in the arts of the Devil by burning at the stake."
Eleanor nodded. "The witch will definitely receive God's judgement. Now have a good day, may God's blessing be with you." She waved as the man exited her shop.
After she was sure that he was gone, she pulled out a notebook and pen and ink. She then scribbled some notes down. If the suspect was to be burned at noon, then the suspect would most likely be brought into the area an hour before. She would put her plan in action then. It would be easier to escape before it got too crowded. -
It's alright. Take your time, remember?)
Claire looked up from where she was at in the corner of the cell-place that they were holding her inside of as she heard footsteps getting closer and closer. After a couple moments a man was in view just a bit back from the bar's holding her in there. Glaring to her-hate would seem to be all in his eyes as he did so. Though, also, what seemed to be fear? "We'll be rid of you in a few hours. I'd start praying if I was you. But what good would that be?" the man said with a small laugh before walking away.
She let a small breath out as her eyes stared to the floor. "Soon...I won't be here anymore. Is this my fate..? To burn?" she questioned to herself. Leaning back against the hard wall behind her, forcing the tears that wanted out, to stay inside. It wouldn't help her to show weakness at the time. If she was going to die, she was going to be strong. Hold herself still in one. -
(Oh yeah. Force of habit. ^^'
And I just realized that I had said "tomorrow at noon" instead of "at noon". Oops.)
Eleanor sighed mid sentence and tapped her finger on the wooden counter briefly. She was debating how she would approach the guards that will no doubt be keeping an eye on the witch. There was really no way to sneak around, and it would probably be easier to attempt to blend into the small crowds before approaching them.
She also had to keep in mind that she probably wouldn't be able to simply take the witch without any reaction from the guards. If it came down to using her skill, then so be it. However, she would avoid it if possible. Eleanor quickly entered the back section of the shop, the area where she lived. She pulled out some trinkets from inside a small compartment in the desk that she used when working. They were mostly broken tools that were used for her craft and for work. They would act as her fuel if she had to fight later.
She then jumped a bit when she heard the door to her shop open. She hurriedly made her way back to the front counter with a warm greeting towards the young girl who had entered. -
(I said tomorrow a few times actually. ^^'
Just pretend the word tomorrow doesn't exist in my post. It works a bit better with yours.) -
Yeah ^~^
I never noticed the "tomorrows" in it until now. XD)
Claire closed her eyes shut to rest a bit. She could stretch her legs, but what good would that be? Sure rest wouldn't exactly help much. But, if she was going to die, she wanted to be awake when she did. "Maybe I should have never met the old man..then I wouldn't have been here, would I?" she asked herself, nodding as her answer. Which was true, though still could be a lie. No One knew what it would have been like of she had not. Maybe she still would have found a way into the such.
The clock was counting down with every passing second she was in her cell. Counting down to the time of her execution soon to come. Confused. "Are miracles true? Are they real..? Can they happen?" she asked her self over and over again. -
(I didn't either. XD)
Eleanor quickly gave the young girl what she needed and bid her farewell. She wasn't expecting anyone else to come in so close to the time of the execution. It was nearing the time that she would need to start closing up her shop so she could search for the witch. Eleanor sighed, walking over to a nearby window and looking outside. People were beginning to close up their shops in preparation for the burning. As she expected, not many people were outside yet. The streets were fairly quiet.
She turned away from the window and decided to follow suit and close up her shop for the day. She then went into the back and gathered up the items she had pulled out and placed them into a satchel. She then sat down on her bed, then she let herself fall back onto it. She had her doubts about whether she could pull this off or not, but she had to try. -
Sorry about the random capitalization, my phone does that at times ^~^
I see XD)
Claire sighed and shook her head a bit to herself. "I'm destined to die here..parent I?" she asked quietly to herself. "Don't talk like that, Claire. Have hope...even of just a little. Have hope." trying to make herself hold into the hope she had and not let it go into the air to be blown away from her. As long as she had just a little, it was better than none.
Footsteps were heard coming down the corridor after a but of time, sounding as if a small group of maybe four or five. "It must be time then." she whispered to herself, pushing up to her feet as she vowed her head to the floor.
"Keep still witch. And do as we say and things will go smoothly." one of the guard's said as another had opened her cell door. "Now come. We must be on our way soon. Better to get this done early." the same guard said. Yanking on her arm and pulling her out of her cell. Soon starting down and to the place of her execution.
